Just got back from a week end trip and opened Atlanta newspaper ad of Walmart and did a double take. Fabric is back!!! We cried and someone listened . Wonderful!!!

8047hmmm...we never lost our fabric dept. here- I don't buy material much anymore, I hit up the notions on a regular basis though. I have such a stock pile of fabric already that I don't have time to make up-couldn't imagine buying anymore.

20173Since I heard this on here, I've been keeping an eye for if and when we get it back in Canada. They do have some fat quarters and some sewing supplies - so we do have very minimal, but not if you need fabric.
Still waiting - but good to hear some have gotten theirs back!

115752Yes, ours got it back, too!! And its with a cutting table - not on bolts. I visited one in Alabama that said they had fabric and it was the bolted kind - really quite useless for appliquers and quilters - and REALLY ugly stuff. I am SO excited about having the full service kind. I also saw a sign that our town was getting a Joanne's (in 2012). It kinda far away from where I live, but it will give us another choice.

Oh Wait until you get a Joannes!!! No more Walmart. I have two Walmart 's 15 minutes from me and a Joanne's store 30 min from me. I opt for Joannes. Handcocks is so long ago, don't know where they are any more. I don't care for Hobby Lobby.
5431Ours got it back also but ours are pre packaged kind. Not good if you only want a small amount of fabric for quilting or such. I don't like it. I will still drive the extra miles to go to the one that didn't lose it.

360642Yes we got ours back also and I was thrilled. Read an article that states if your Wal-Mart did not get fabric back to go to the store manager and make a request to return it to your local store.
