Thank you all for your advice! My Ellageo uses the "L" bobbin and so does my BMP8. The cardboard side bobbins I have from METRO are "L" but they are not as deep (thick) as the bobbins you wind yourself and use on the machine, so I have to use the little space in the Ellageo when I use them. I do not have this space with the BMP8. However, the bobbin lays flat in the Ellageo and in the BMP it is upright so maybe the space is not needed. Thanks for the recommendations on where to purchase also! All advice most helpful and very much appreciated!!!!! Flowers for all!
Size 'L' .... I have a Babylock BMP9 (6 needle) and it takes the plastic sided size L bobbins. I buy them by the gross.
Metro Thread has them on sale 144 for 19.99 + shipping.

Look for 'Plastic sided bobbins.
For my pr620 and pr1000 I use Echidna pre-wound magnetic bobbins. I am not sure where Gary at echidna gets them from but I would imagine that they are available in other places apart from Ausrtalia as a different brand.
Hallo, bei mir heißen die SpulenMBM(XC5335-102) original für Brother und sind aus Metall kosten in Deutschlan 5 Stück 6 Euro
I have the Babylock Enterprise 10 needle and the Ellissimo. I use L bobbins. I have been using the magna glide ones witht he tiny magnet in the middle. LOVE THEM . The magnet puts a little tension on the bobbin and there is no spin back when it gets low. I use ALL the thread on the bobbin without tangling or birdsnests underneath. I buy them at allstitch. Cheapeast price around. Suzanne
I wish the edit your answer was back too I found it handy when you make a mistake. Sue
Metro embroidery has a chart which size bobbin t use for which machine. According to that one he Brother PR600 and the BMP take size L, the Ellageo the somewhat bigger class 15. So your bobbins would be just right for the BMP without the spacer.
Metro sells both sizes.
I seems to have trouble typing in a t: in to use and in the Brother. Wish the editing function would come back...
This is a question I recently asked a Brother rep at a recent show and left none the wiser. So I hope some here can tell me what the Brother PR machines take. I asked the question as my machine came with cardboard sided bobbins but the machine had one fitted without. As to where to find the bobbins depends on where you are on the universe.
