Hi,

Just sharing a wee bit of life. My family
visited for a week and we had a wonderful time. Ah life is good.
The day after I discover a slab leak (pipes
laid in concrete slab has a leak) in my front entry and my kitchen. Of course I
have no idea what all this is until I talk
with my neighbor and get 101 lesson on all this and now I'm extremely upset.
Long story short-it all happens for a reason. Ended up getting my much needed new
sink, faucet and disposal at the same time
pipe was replaced.
Next, it ruined my kitchen floor so I'll get a new floor. So all that worry and it
ends up being for the good in the end. God
sure does have a plan-just hope nothing else blows up- Geepers last nite my doorbell went haywire. LOL
Ahhh... just a few days of ripping floors, drywall and reinstalling it all with a final paint and hopefully as good as new.
In the meantime I forgot what I was working
on before family came and my newphews mom requested a sweatshirt with football team
logo, last name and number. I thought sure
get to try out my new multihooping but its
giving me a headache. So let it go till the
house is back in one piece-maybe it will
sink into my head better. LOL

Wow, you are having a hard time, but believe me, when it is all done, you will wonder why you didn't do it long ago!!

We bought a brand new house and within a year ALL the tiles in the house popped, the nails fell out the ceilings, one of the main roof struts snapped and to add insult to injury, the septic tank cover collapsed!!!!!!

We had to store all our furniture in the garages while the contractors used jackhammers to get the tile cement off the floors and when they were finished tiling, I cleaned, then the ceilings had to be skimmed and I cleaned, then the roof strut was fixed and I cleaned and when the septic tank collapsed I cried!!!!!

BUT it's all done now and I LOVE my new house!!!

Hang in there Linda, things can only get better :)

Linda, I just got finished dealing with the contractor that had to replace flooring due to a small leak from my dishwasher. Over quite sometime, unbeknownst to me, the slow leak had gone under layers of flooring to the subfloor, which is wood. Needless to say, it was quite a mess to endure, while all the subflor and flooring was torn out, but I have lovely new flooring now! I still am gradually getting furnishings back into place, and getting rid of excess "junk". So, all in all, the good outweighs the bad of the situation!!

I see you understand-what a mess it makes. LOL I also got rid
of tons on excess stuff-like 10 empty flower vases etc. Its amazing what accumulates.

Always fun and exhausting to have family come to visit. It almost sounded like you wanted a little remodel and this leak didn't upset you too much except for the mess. Probably better that it happened after your family had left.

Well, I guess I didn't include the part when I freaked out for a bit but took a nap and prayed and got over it.
But thank you for the sweet note.
Its the trust in God to give us strength to master the hurdles that keeps me going.

Hugs
