LOL...just had this problem today, I knew it was past time for a service call but.... while I was reading your question I realized I'd never changed from the embroidery foot. Seems like the harder I go the behinder I get. Was really upset but all is well now. Glad you asked the question. Hugs
Take the fabric out and run the machine a little and look to see if the feed dogs are moving while there is no fabric there. If they are not moving then the you probably lowered the feed dogs by accident.
Depending on your machine you might have a manual lever to lower the feed dogs or there could be something electronic for when you want the machine to stitch in one place like for tacking. Check your instruction manual.
Other things to check:
Is the foot on properly or has it loosened?
Is the thread jammed?
It fed through okay when I sewed the quilting lines. I have another machine that does not work, so I might take the feed dogs off of it and put them on and see if it works. lol
Are the edges too thick? Do you need to adjust the pressure of the foot. I don't know if you can still do that, I used to adjust foot pressure on my old machines not the electronic ones.
They are pretty thick, But I have sewed thicker items before with no problem.
If youd didn't accidently lower the feed dogs then they may just need to be adjusted by a service man. The other thing may be you need new feed dogs. If you have rubber ones they can wear out. Metal ones can also wear out and need to be replaced. Hope you get it working again. *4U
Did you accidentally lower the feed dogs? they are lowered for embroidery , but up for regular sewing, Kay
