Jeans Placemats.
Thing I learned doing this:If you want to leave the seam for "design detail" make sure the plate doesn't "rock" on it.....Put the plate on the seam and it's very wiggly!! Oh well.

What a good idea for recycling :o)
If you sew a thick ribbon in the plain field parallel to the seam? Or like you said: We live and learn...

They looks great and thanks for the tip on the seam lump. Maybe you put another embroidery design in a place to make the plate stable.

I put the embroidery on the right side so I can just put the plate on the left. They are just for everyday anyway...we learn from our mistakes, for sure.
