I found a cute little jacket at Value Village, the fabric contains 70% Rayon, 25% Nylon, and 5% Spandex. My question is has anyone embroidered on this type of fabric? how was the out come? And do you have any suggestions of which needle to use and what stabilizer to use. Any feed back would be most appreciated. Thanks....Lucy

If you are doing a dense design or a lace design, consider ME on nylon tulle/organza. You can "burn" the edges away (use a stncil cutter about $10 at Michaels) and get great results making a free standing patch of sorts. Just sew it on your garment with invisible thread or matching to a border and enjoy! No worries about the fabrics! Linda

I have had success using poplin fabric as a cutaway on strechy fabrics. Needle- would try a 75 embroidery needle.

Hi Loosie, I am assuming that this fabric is slightly stretchy. I would use Rayon embroidery thread, a number 12 needle and tear away stabiliser on the back. With regards to the top maybe some WSS (water soluble solvy) so as not to over pull the fabric. I have never sewn on this sort of fabric, but I'm sure someone may have. Just wait I'm sure someone else will help you out. Love and blessings Chris

I hope your right, this will be the first time stitching out a design on a pre-made outfit and I had to choose probably one of the most difficult fabrics...lol.
