Hi there, You have been given very good comments. Hope you have sorted it out. Hugs Yvonne
Mine did that too the other day, in the middle of a huge design. I did the same as all the advice below and I changed my needle and it seems tobe doing fine now. I have to admit, when I took the bobbin out I was horrified at the fluff underneath!!! LOL
You would be surprised at the amount of fine fibres that collects in & under the bobbin case, so regularly cleaning helps.Towelling creates lots of fluff & so does seersucker.I always clean out the bobbin case area after sewing towelling before I put the machine away for the day ,then I avoid any problems the next time I sew
Hi, All good suggestions. When my machine was having these problems, it was because I had actually broken the part that holds the needle. There was nothing I could do to make it stitch right. I had that part replaced and wow it sews nicely now. It was getting really hard to get the needle out just before it didn't work anymore...... The general "rule of thumb" is, if the thread is messing up on the bottom, it is a top problem, and vice versa.... Hope you get it worked out! There is nothing as bad as when your machine doesn't work - it's as bad as your car not starting! Hugs, Jan
sound like a real tension problem.. some thread stuck on the tension disk.. try running dental floss in the tension area.. also check the bobbin area to make sure there is no lint or little threads caught.. they do get tired and need a good cleaning or going to the Dr..
Thanks mysew... I was just thinking that it was time to take it apart and vacuum out the insides. It's been a while. I'll try the dental floss trick too.
I take mine apart and vacuum the insides at least once a month, even once a week if I've been flogging it hard. xx
