Just love your sock animals. You do such a great job on them.
such wonderful sock animals - wonderful job - again!!
All of your sock animals are just terrific. The children must enjoy them. I was wondering what kind of thread you hand sew them together with, is is extra strong so they don't come apart or just regular thread. Just love them, they are so original. Can understand why they all left home at the market, but I am sure they have all found great new homes. Have a good day and keep on sewing these cuties.
Michelle
Michelle, I use just the everyday sewing thread but double. All the stitching is done by hand and this type of sock is very forgiving as you can't see where you have stitched. This makes it hard if you have to undo something.
Lionus is a cutie Pie! I know any child would love to have this along with alot of adult collectors also! You should be proud of your talents! You do great work! Good luck! Linda
I don't know why you worry, you make the most wonderful sock creatures I've seen!! :D
Thank You for the compliment. I do appreciate it. I think this one is a little darling.
Oh, my! He's precious! LOVE IT! I think he's my favorite, too. Great job! Hugs and *'s, Deb
This little fella is really cute too. I keep forgetting to go & look for any socks until I see a new face from you.....
Almost the end of Bed Sock season here, so have to wait now until next Autumn - but then I have plenty to go on with.
This guy is adorable. Have you thought about making a monkey?
He is adorable. I got an e mail from Martha Stewart
Living this afternoon. I looked in the sewing section and there is a Sock dog with a reindeer head
and a long hot dog body with twig antlers made out of socks. Though of you. Check it out. Maureen
Thankyou Maureen for thinking of me. I have seen the dog, but would not put the antlers on it if I make it.
I agree-I think it would limit it to xmas.
I have enjoyed seeing your projects. Keep
enjoying what you do. Maureen
I love all of these!!!! Wish I was closer to your craft market, I would get one for myself!!!!
I wish you were all closer and I would have you all around to make some with me.
I wish we were closer too. Cause I would stop by for a visit and lesson. I am looking for socks to give this a try.
Hi Lyn, Love Lionus! He's georgous, you're a clever lady!
Thanks! Have another pair of socks this colour but will wait before I make them up.
yes it is becoming a bit of a worry...lol....but linous is adorabale,,,sooize
I just love your sock animals. Please give a brief description how to make them?
I am not very good at descriptions. I just wish you could all come to my place and I could show you. They are really the same as the sock monkey with just a few small changes to change features etc
I soooo love all of the animals you have made. What are you going to do with them all? I just know some charity would love them for their children.

I am going to try to sell them at my market to get some money to buy more socks. If they won't sell then they will go to a hospital with my trauma teddies.
They are all so cute! Love this stripy fellow, could be a cross between a lion and a tiger, aren't those called ligers?
I hope the weather will be clear for your market day and people fell in love with your menagerie.
Thank You Martine. I will be disappointed if they don't sell. I just love making them -- Could it be Tion??
Close. I looked it up. A Tigon is the offspring of a tiger and a lioness, a Liger has a lion as a father and a tigress as a mother.
Soooooooooooo cute!!! Love them all but I like the lions best!
Waaauw, I just find him or her fantastic, Have you got patterns for these cute items?
It is virtually the same pattern as the sock monkey with just a few small changes to give them character eg., the mane.
This little guy will surely sell, I love the brown!!! It is my favorite color!! Keep up the great work. Good luck on your sale! ~Carolyn~
Carolyn - Thank You. I will be terribly disappointed if they don't sell as I love making them. Can't make any more until some of these have left home.
He's adorable. I like his name too. You are doing a great job with these.
He is adorable - I am wishing you luck with market.
You have created another masterpiece. I love him. Great work.
Oh another brilliant sock lion, I do like his name. He is beautiful
So cute
Thank You. I just love this little guy.. Had to change him a little. My first try had his crutch down too low - just like the young guys these days with the undies showing
