I use wash-away sticky (I don't hoop the towel - I stick it to the sticky) - then a topper of WSS too.
I'm glad you ask that question! I didn't know that you could not use stabilizer on the back of towels and blankets. Thanks cuties for teaching me new things!
If your kitchen towel is of a fairly stable material - a good cotton or linen you should be all right without any stabilizer underneath. I would certainly use WSS on top. Good luck. Sarah.
If you are talking about stabilizer on the back I never use anything on the back of my towels. Works just fine for me. Have ben doing them since 2001 and never a problem. Of course WSS on the top. *4U
Never had a problem before. I have a nice set in my bathroom that is just for decoration. They are woashed often and come out just fine. I think there are other cuties here that have posted the same thing that they do not use anything on the back. Try doing one just to test out and wash it and see how it works for you. I also do not put backing on my fleece blankets. First one I ever did was for my best friend's camper. One for her and one for hubby. She has had them since 2001 or 2003 can't remember when for sure and they have always washed up just fine. If you buy an embroidered towel in the store there is no backing on them. thats what made me decide to try with out it. I've used many different types of towels and so far no problem. Hope this helps. Maybe some of the other cuteis that posted before here will come back and tell you the same thing. Hugs
didn't all post... Try one out just to see how it works for you. I never use backing on my fleece blankets either. Made a set for best friend and hubby in 2001 or 2002 for their camper and she says they wash up just fine.
Not sure why it doesn't show we've posted on this on your original post. Keeps showing 0. Anyway hope you see these posts...
I just did some and the best was WSS , and remember to use the same colour in the bobbin.
