Great! I,also, make preserves. I have lots of figs canned in jars, jellies, jams, etc. and my family knows if they return my jars, they usually get more filled ones.-T
Thank you. Figs are never cheap around here, so I usually make jams and jellies from black and redcurrants and from blackberries, which grow abundantly in my garden. So the plums were a nice gift.
Thank you for the tip. I thought about that, but don't know what size jars she will be using.
Martine - these are so pretty. I wish I could make these but my 4x4 hoop is not big enough. I usually cut out a circle in gingham with pinking shears and just embroider a small fruit - when I can find small fruits. Sarah.
That's what I used to do too. And I tried one of those circular stitch gadgets for the sewing machine: put the material in a ring/hoop for hand emboidery and attach the gadget with a pin to the centre and use a fancy stitch. But I did not quite like that so most times I just cut it out.
By want of small fruit designs I made these, just drawing free hand in the software.
Great idea especially this time of year when everyone
seems to be canning something or other.
Thanks for the design.
Michelle
