That's enough to rattle your nerves for a while. Your area was very lucky.
Hi Lyn, heard about the tremor in Adelaide and Port Augusta this morning, glad to hear you are OK. It is frightening I know, we had one here in Innisfail earlier in the year. To me it sounded like a truck rumbling down the street, I actually looked out to see this "truck", but there was nothing there, then quite quickly, it was on the internet news headlines, so then we knew!
Good Old Innisfail. I wondered why thi one was so different to any others. The center was just a few miles away.
Heard here in Newcastle too about Adelaide's earthquake and as I'm a South Aussie too was quite interested. Love and blessings Chris
espero que todos estejam bem
aqui no Brasil
graças a Deus não temos este problema por enquanto????

The first time it's frightening, I agree! Here in Melbourne, Victoria, we have just a few light tremors every now and then, but not frightening, I'm used to them. Of course, every time it occurs, you hope for the best!
The 3 that I remember have all be between 2 and 4am and I have always been awake having just been to the bathroom.
Yes, heard this on ABC radio this morning. Hope that your sewing machine was okay [very important!!]
My Machine was safetly on the floor. I was more concerned with all of my collector plates hanging on the wall
It can be very scary. East coast had one just a few months ago which is not normal. It was a strange feeling and a bit scary. That was my first experience with one.
I am having a few problems with one support to my roof. Had that part of my roof replaced last year. When I first heard the tremor I thought the roof was coming down. Thankful it was a tremor and not my roof.
I can understand that would have made you quite nervous, until you worked out what it was.
There have been a few recently, hasn't there?? I really wonder what is up with all of the earthquakes. I track them because I'm interested. Seems that places that have no history of earthquakes seem to be becoming seismically active. Of all of the natural occurrences, earthquakes upset me the most. They hit with no warning and are very disturbing. We get a lot of earthquakes where I live, unfortunately.
The world is in turmoil. I feel sorry for those who suffer from these disasters.
I have felt some like the one you got, mild, but still frightening, I prefer the hurricanes, you knnow when and were they are heading.
We don't get them here often, but when we do it can be very frightening, glad to hear all is well.
My dog was on the bed - she didn't hear a thing. Even though she is deaf she should have felt it, but probably thought it was just mum having a funny moment.
