I visited Boston this summer and hunted embroidery supplies store with no luck. I did find a fabric store that had very good prices (half the price I pay here in Montreal) and very nice quality. It was Windmill Fabrics on Chauncy street ( hope I spelled this right). Check on the internet, although it may be difficult for you daughter-in-law to choose fabrics for you unless she knows your tastes really well. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR SEARCH HOPE IT GOES BETTER THAN MINE,
Michelle
Ok - I´m not searching for fabric, we have very good fabric-store here in Reykjavík, Iceland and Embroidery Supplies Store too, but I think that the supplies are cheaper in USA than here in Iceland.
Thank you
I know China town in Boston has fabrics galore but not sure about embroidery supplies. I buy most of it on line myself have found that the sewing stores around here charge way over what I can buy on line. I no longer live in mass but am still close enough to go shopping there LOL
Perhpas we have someone that has shopped in the Boston area in the past - hopefully - they will see this.
Use Google to find a store in that area. I do this whenever we're traveling to another area. Have found some wonderful stores and then some that were a total waste of time. Good luck on your search.
Several fabric stores also sell embroidery supplies...like stablizers, thread, etc. Just nothing for the machine, as hoops. You can be sure there's some sort of store in Boston! Just may have to look a bit. Good luck!
I am sure there a store in Boston. I know there is a store in Cranston, Rhode Island (about 45 minutes south of Boston). Try googling machine embroidery stores in Massachusetts.
