Hey All, I remember a post the other day about getting some of the sticky, stuff left behind by fusibles, on our irons. Well my simple discovery was that when that happens to me I iron over a piece of waxed paper. I use the stuff that we wrap sandwiches in. It works like a charm! It even took it off of my ironing board cover. :)

when ironing fusibles, stabilisers, etc, I iron over baking paper. You can see your materials underneath and nothing gets stuck to the iron. And it's really cheap. xx

Thank you. Do you have any good ideas of how to clean out the inside of the iron? H&*

There are iron cleaners on the market.....but you can also use white vinegar, I would use a 50/50 mixture with water. Put it in the steam chamber heat your iron until steaming and iron on rags until empty.

Use shot of steam if available, That blows out any calcium deposits, Also I would let the vinegar mixture sit in the iron overnight.
