Do any Cuties have bobbin winders that will put more thread on the bobbins than sewing machines will? I often use the same 40 wt thread on the bottom when doing FSLace. I know I could never get as much as the prewound bobbins have on them but I still would like more than I am able to wind on a bobbin now. Any suggestions? How do other Cuties wind their bobbins.

Thanks to all of you for these answers. Until I uncover something better I will just stick with using my machine for winding bobbins. There has to be a better way. More research to be done.

I also wind twice around the button for more tension, and after removing the bobbin, I hand wind more on.

I have a side winder. It stops too soon - meaning it does not put alot of thread on it - so I just hold down the little button that makes it go and fill it up all the way. Works good for me (my machine will not rewind my empty pre-wound bobbins).

I bought the bobbin Side Winder at Jo Ann's, also available at Walmart and other places but I returned it 2 days later, junk.

I was told by someone that when filling a bobbin thread - wind the thread twice around the little tension disc before attaching it to the bobbin. This gives a tighter tension when filling the bobbin. I don't know if this gives you more thread on the bobbin or not.

My bobbin winders put less thread on than my machine does.

if you use the bobbin winder that is at walmart it fills the bobbin more than my machine
