A winter scene quilted panel.

I spotted this scene in a shop and as it was on sale and measures 36 x 44 i decided to have a go at doing a picture window quilt.
Again i used polar fleece to back it and joined with black sashing strips to get the lead window effect. The side panels are ment to look like a pelmet and walls with a window seat. I only used sheeting for the long panels and then marked a grid out and did a simple stitch along the lines, I use contrasting coloures for the grid.
Hubby wants it hung on the wall but i told him it would not keep him warm unless he stood up all night.
This is the companion to the first single quilt i made for the tiny motor home. I just have to make the pillow case and attatch it to the back of the quilt so that it can be store away during the daytime. sorry about the slant on the photo but you can get a good idea of it annie in the UK

Annie this is lovely, you really do give a great description and have a brilliant way with words. I am laughing at the deer with its wonky antlers. Good Luck to Stan sleeping upright with his new quilt

I should have explained that i cut the large picture into 7 inch square blocks. if you do this then be sure to label each block with row and placement number IE. A1. A2. A3.B1 B2 B3.so that you can put them back together again otherwise you run the risk of getting into a mucking fuddle. Plus make sure that each piece is the correct way up before yo sew it in place. I had the quilt almost completed before i realised that the Moose's antlers were at the side of his head instead of at the top. Yea i had to remove the panel and replace it but thankfully i spotted it in time. annie in the uk.
