I have missed out on all the enjoyment an embroidery machine can bring.Because I was bussy bussy with my loose Cover business. when i got my machine last year i was going to have a very very basic one , my husband said "Have the best you can afford".Bless him , now he is an embroiery machine widower..and as for what style I am still finding out.SO MUCH TO LEARN, SO LITTLE TIME.
I'm still pretty new at this, so I am trying everything and love it all. I've just started doing FSL designs and am amazed at how beautiful they turn out. I love redwork and the beauty it adds to my quilting. I can't choose just one! --Sharon
I love all craft but sadly I'm useless at drawing and my wrists complain when I try to knit now, so both of thoes are out. As and when the bug bites I make handmade cards and do a bit of scrapbooking but my main love is sewing macines and I'm lucky enough to own several. I really enjoy "in the hoop" projects and applique.
I appreciate any hand made item .My sewing machine had to go into be fixed ,so depending on time ,the gift I send maybe another type of craft that I like doing.
Sue, I am sorry to say that in all honesty i cannot choose. I just love craft and especially anything homemade with Love. :)
There is hardly a thing either by hand or machine that I don't like. In all my years have tried just about everything and have enjoyed all of it. It just so happens that I'm learning the machine embroidery now so I like all aspects of it, just haven't had time to try them all.
I am one of those lucky people who have a liking for so many things, that I cannot choose. I think I have also tried my hand at just about everything, but FSL seems to take top spot. I just love all kinds of work done by the person themselves, and not made on a factory line. Picky hey !!!!!!
Hugs and God bless you all
Marietta
I really don't have a favorite, love them all. But, I will admit I am not that good with applique or cutwork so I don't do many projects where they are involved. Hugs...Carol
This is a very difficult question to answer. I have seen so many wonderful projects made up in all different styles of embroidery. Like Shirlene, I would be happy to receive whatever the sender would be happy to make. Who knows, I may fall in love with a style which is not what I am used to making myself, and that would be cool! There are many styles that I have not been brave enough to try - like hardanger.
I do not have a favorite embroidery style, they all very nice, but cross stitch is not for me.

Ich liebe ITH Projekte und Applikationen,ab und zu sticke ich gerne auch mal lace (Hauptsache sticken grins)
as long as the person doing the giving has created the gift with love and enjoyed the making of it then any style is good.
Love comes in many guises and often the most bizare of stitches can hold a bag of gold together.

As I'm quite new to this hobby, I really can't say yet what I like the most. Everything always looks so beautifull to me. I just hope I can reach up to the expectations that are set. I'm feeling uncertain about it.
I like applique most of all. Also love doing pretty things like organza flowers etc. Love, Betsie
What I like to do with my machicne is always to make more nice useful things, as towels or clothes. i like especially embroider on clothes for children, when they ask to me designs or subject that they want, I know that i will bring joy to them, and they will be happy to wear it
I have always been into crafts, sewing knitting, crochet, cross stitch then along came embroidery, I am on my third machine since my first in 2000 and just love to sit and watch a design stitch out. No preference really just love embroidery...
I love ITH projects! You actually make useful items and be able to personalize them too!! I have had fun making stuffies, key fobs, snap clippies, zipper bags, etc. I also love applique. It is another wonderful multi-dimentional style. Hugs to you!! Laura*
Very hard to pick just one.... I probably like in the hoop best, followed by FSL, then filled or applique. I have not tried cross-stitch on my machine but I did a BUNCH of it by hand when my eyes and hands were better.
My favorites, to make are FSL, Applique and Cutwork, anything vintage or Victorian, lol and the list goes on and on.
As to what I want to receive - I'd be thrilled to bits with anything someone took the time to make for me.
My very favorite is the Optical styles. I just received my machine and I already have a quilt ready to put together. I love it!
My VERY favorite would have to be FSL, but really, how can you chose?!! Ever since I got my first embroidery machine in 1998, I have been hooked. Cheers, Nan W
I like must everything, just not cross stitch or "fancy" alpabets.
I love realistic machine embroidery flowers, and Japanese designs like Geisha's, bonsai, and cherry blossum. Hugs Ruth
Sue, thank you for all your efforts with secret santa. I love all embroidery, but not keen on cross stitch. hugs Helen
I believe, by now that everyone knows that I have a love of lace. Hehehe! I also like cutwork, applique, fill and in-the-hoop projects.
If you are talking about what would we like to receive - that is a completely different way of looking at this: as I would like whatever would make the sender happy to make and it doesn't have to be on my list my favorite embroidery styles.
Favorites are FSL, Cutwork and vintage/victorian designs.

I love FSL, filled and appliques. I guess I love it all. I also am engrossed with learning to digitize designs. Designed a cute bee for our embroidery group logo. Bee-Z-Stitchers. I'm not brave enough to post my designs yet. I love all sorts of crafts: quilting, crocheting, sewing. I love writing and illustrating stories for my grandkids. I just dropped off my latest book to the printers. I'll be giving it to each of the families for Christmas. I've already started on SS present.
Well being new to this I would have to say right now filled, than applique than redwork are my favorite to do. I am not brave enough to try cutwork, nor have I seen any I like as of yet, but that could change, lol! The only FSL I have I received from my secret Christmas in July (Coverings on glass christmas balls) and the purple Ribbon Shirlene was so kind to make and send to me. I am not brave enough to try it on my own yet. I don't trust dense designs and my machine, lol! They have given me issues on filled designs, so I'm not brave enough to try them elsewhere yet. I love to sew, sometimes I wish I had more time to do so, others I don't want to even look at it, lol! I did a little hand embroidery when I was a teen, but not much since, although I did do ribbon embroidery on a dish towel a few years back. I've nver used that towel, just to pretty to let get ruined, lol!
Dear Santa: I'd like something with filled embroidery on it. It would be fun to have something to enjoy the whole year. Kitchen: Blues Bedroom: Purples, greens, cream.
I have enough FSL! I do it all the time! I would like something creative!
I love cut work and In the hoop. I use to do counted cross stitch but I find that 2 hard on my eyes now.
Cindy B.
I like filled designs, vintage and anything victorian.
Not the funky type either.
Thanks
FSL and vintage/victorian designs.
It's getting closer, 54 more days!
Hugs Lee
I like filled designs and FSL. Used to do hand embroidery but now I do machine embroidery.Npthing funky.
My favorite is FSL took me ages to attempt it but now love it. Hugs Sally
I think my favorite flavor right now is applique. It changes or it has. I like FSL if I don't have to assemble afterwards. LOL
Favorite - you mean we have to choose? Well, I would say FSL, or Applique
I love cutwork, applique,Fsl and embossed. I could go on and on. Hugs Yvonne
I think FSL then applique ohhhh I like it all!!Quilting too and more if you can embroider they quilt it into a quilt or wall hanging. Lisa
I am enjoying some hand sewing at the moment. I am adding to work I have created on my machine. I have to admit to a bit of an addiction to all things alpha related too
