Has anyone used a fabric stiffener product to make their FSL designs stiffer? I know to just wash out a small portion of the vilene but I still would like it stiffer for window decorations, etc. Thanks!-Tania

Yes I paint my ornaments with Mod Podge - Gloss Lustre, then while they are wet I sprinkle glitter on them for that extra pizzazz!

I've used stiffy by plaid on crochet and plan to use on fsl bowls and boxes.

I used a product called STIFFY made by Plaid which I got at Joann's and I think Michaels has it, too.

I spray mine colored ones with 'sizing' and press with an iron. Spray starch works too on colors but not on anything white. If the item is white use the method below.

Years ago my sister hand crocheted many white snowflakes for her Xmas tree. She used really watered down 'white Elmer's glue' to dip the snowflakes. Then lay flat to dry. This glue mixture prevents the yellowing that spray starch causes. For anything white the glue would be best.
