Hi, I think I'm going to try to NOT do a big project this year - LOL. I can't do that to myself again - Whew! Last year was a photo-finish and I'm determined to relax and enjoy the season this year. I just want to sew for fun with no deadlines.
Where do you live sewdragon? Welcome to Cuties :-) from Jan

It is about 30 here but that is centigrade not Fahrenheit so definitely no blanket, maybe a cold beer. The biggest project I want to do this season is a very blokey (masculine) quilt to cover the sofa in my husbands shed.

It snowed here, yesterday, but warmed back up into the 40's. I was outside, in a tshirt and no jacket, earlier today.

I have 2 big projects to do in the next six weeks. Doing a monster applique quilt for my grandson, and have knitted a shawl for my sister and am doing the lace embroidery for the edging. Both are pretty big projects - the continuous lace is the most challenging, though.

What about you? What big projects are you tackling?

Went out to warm up my daughter's car this morning and it was 12F. They are blowing snow at the ski resorts trying to get ready to open on Thanksgiving. My project is covering my dinning room chairs. Took off all the old parts and have the seats and the backs done just need to staple them on. With the cold/cough I have I don't want to bend over to finish them so my DH said he would help me tomorrow. Have from now till tomorrow to find the electric stapler and it just popped into my head where it might be. lol Hard to think when your head is full of cold.

WELCOME to the CUTE family and I too would like to wrap up in a blanket/quilt and have a cup of hot chocolate - I have just the quilt to do it with, too. Thanks for a CUTE family member. Hehehe!

I plan on making a FSL Table Cloth or runner for a table that was my Mother's (Miss Loretta) - she had a lovely antique one on it - but it has a few tears - that can not be mended and I would like to make one that she might have enjoyed, too. Other than that - I have a bunch of Christmas projects that I have to get to first.

I like to wrap up in a blanket and have a cup of hot chocolate! However, here is Spring and Summer is around the corner.... I don't know what project I will tackle next. I'm happy to have been able to embroider a large doily for which I had to learn how to split a large design (double the size of my largest hoop) and, more importantly, how to stitch accurately to continue embroidering on the second part of the doily, as if I had a much larger hoop. To do that, I had the help of two cuties and I thank them: Martine (Mops) and Glenda (sqdancer). This site has great members!!!

I have yet to do a continuous hoop project - I'd have the incentive to learn - like putting a design along a skirt hem or something if I didn't have an entire house of boys...LOL
