California is going to get wet this week. Storm is coming and snow level will be at 4000K which is good
for the snow bunnys who like to go skiing in our local mountains. I like to stay home and prepare for
thanksgiving feast which takes a few days. Now it looks like the fireplace will be going at times too.
Love the Fall season.
What kind of candy did you make?..... I love the holidays...Rented a cabin in the snow in January
I made turtles and peanut butter balls this time A friend is coming this week from IL> and we will make a lot of candy for her to take home

Snow! Candy! Cookies! Carols! Poinsettias! Trees with Fairy Lights!
We go over to AZ every couple of years and this is our stay-at-home year. I am missing my daughter and her family very badly right now even though I should be grateful to have four more 'children and their families' to help me celebrate the Christmas Season, and it will be a lovely and wonderful time for us all. But..... I am already missing the end-of-year excitement that seems to pervade the American stores... think Michael's, Joanne's, Fry's, my "Scottsdale Meccas" ... and all those trees along the main roads lit up with hundreds of fairy lights. Then, with any luck we'd have a fall of snow just to remind us that we really are having winter in the Northern Hemisphere - we went snow-hunting last year for one lovely afternoon. We never really caught up to it but I do have pictures of distant falling snow to show for our efforts.
Here....??????
.... there'll be.....
Heat! Lollies! Bikkies! Songs! Red Bottlebrush! BBQ's! Flies! Hot Dusty North Winds!
... and the joyous larrikanism that is inherent in the Aussie Heart and that makes us throw ourselves so abundantly into enjoying the great outdoors and the famous Sea, Sun and Sand.
Father Christmas came to town yesterday at the end of a very long and very lovely parade. He's taking orders from the children - they'd better put sunscreen and sunhats high on their lists to cope with what is in store for us by late December.

Nice to let us know about auzzie Christmas.
I live in Southern California and we have red bottlebrushes, sea, sun and sand.
However, I live further northend and higher up than Los Angeles so we get snow
once in a blue moon. I like going home up
north for Christmas and snow.
Hugs,
Linda aka Bumblebee
North for CXMAS and snow. This year mom is coming to Arizona for 3 mo's and will
visit us early next year. She exited about being an official snow bunny and getting away from the snow and cold.
Will she stay at Quartzsite? That's where a lot of snow bunnies gather in winter at the big markets. We went there twice last year.

I'm not sure, they are travelling around
in one of those travelling campers they got last year but I'll ask her. My mom sure has a gypsy spirit LOL if it where up to her she would sell the house and travel the states.
It is raining in Iceland and 10°C hope the snow will never come lol :-))
