Both Polyester and Rayon are synthetic. Polyester is the stronger,launders well & good for work wear. Rayon is more shiny, bigger colour selection and good for delicate clothes and intricate detail.

Polyester is from oil! Rayon, linen from plant, acetate from wood. When using Cotton you want Long stable.(I think ELS). Also thread there are 2 standards, so it is impossible to know if wt is the same between manufacturers. Live Laugh Download Stitch!

Actually, rayon is made from cellulose (plant fibres) and so is classified as 'semi synthetic'. Viscose is also from the same family, and cupra - artificial silk.
