You did a wonderful job. She will cherish it forever. Hugs, Judy
It's lovely. Did you knit the front and back as one part without side seams?
Like Sue, I've been doing cables, but am planning something like this for my granddaughter. Thanks for showing this!
Thank you - yes I did, I always knit like that and I cut(trim) in the front middle, knit the list and sew them on, sometimes I crochet the list, I did that with my wool sweater the Icelandic lopapeysa :-))
It is a beautiful sweater - very nicely knitted.
Although at the moment I just cannot imagine knitting in any manner as I sit here in 32 degree heat with the humidity at 95%.
Thank you - here where I live in Iceland start to snow yesterday and it´s cold and time to use sweater like this :-((
Makes me feel quite nostalgic as I haven't knitted a fairisle pattern for years. (I'm doing cables at the monent.) Thanks for the inspiration!
It's gorgeous! Love the colors as well. she will stay warm & toasty this winter.
Its a beauty. I love to knit but haven't done colors.
Reminds me of a dear friend I had many years ago from Holland. She could knit flawlessly. Very pretty.
Sigrun, this is lovely and how wonderful that she picked out the colors and the pattern, too.
very pretty sigrun-wish I had the time and patience-knitting takes too long for me-to do this.I love the pattern ~linda~
