Not sure what American Pickers is but like others with designs at the start of being a machine embroideryaholic or whatever you call yourself EVERYTHING was downloaded, just in case. Been through that phase and a number of years down the line I check Urban daily, Emblib weeklies and see what offers they have and as I have limited sewing time dont look at freebies. Then there are times I look at what I have and find it fun seeing stuff I did not know I had. Thank goodness designs dont take up space
Count me in - I am ashamed to admit how many designs I have downloaded - both purchased and free and how few I have actually stitched out. I am starting to get busy stitching now though. It gives me such pleasure just looking at them and thinking about who would enjoy them also.
It's like my fabric and trims. I have laces and trims that I have had forever and when I go to clean them out, I get so much pleasure from seeing them and organizing them that I figure for the 50 cents I'll get for them at a garage sale, I'll just keep them and enjoy them for a few more years.
I am afraid I collet everything, even though I will never use all the designs. I would need ar least 100 hours in a day to sew them all out, but you never know! It might just be the design you need. I have made mistakes though, some memberships I took out to download the designs were in hind sight a waste of money, they are so badly digitised that I would never use them. Now I have started digitising myself I might have a go at some improvements! Or is that not allowed? But I love my designs and have started to organise them. My biggest regret is that I did not note down where I bought them or downloaded them from.
I LOVE my designs. It's one disease that doesn't cause pain. I am happy happy happy with this disease.
It's funny to read all the anwers. We are addicted to downloading embroidery designs because they keep us happy! It does not matter if we already have a gazillion designs, our modern hard discs have plenty of room, and when we want a design we search ... somewhere else. LOL
I am afflicted! I promised myself I would not spend, but but but mistymountain is having a short sale and all sets (even the $40 sets) are $1! Thanks for sharing! Live Laugh Download Stitch!
It's terrible. I am afflicted! I spent more $ at mistymountain, and I promised myself I would not do that! Oh Well! gotta stitch!
I love the show, too! If I had more room, I'd collect as many old/vintage things that I could, but I have no where to put more furniture. I barely have room to sew (we won't talk about fabric...).
Some women collects shoes and I collect embroiderydesigns. Guess who needs more space for his tick and has less use for them? My designs never get old or out of style ;o)
Greetings, Bettina
PS: The best with the embroiderydesigns: They are so easy to hide... *lol*
I LOVE that show too. I think the disease is called addiction :-)
It's easy to just save another set of teddy bear designs into the Teddy Bear folder....Now I have 300 teddy bears, hmmm!

Hugs
Michelle
I know I am a picker... I'm always looking for designs some free some paid for.... don't know when I will ever use them... but I got them if I need them... ha ha ha'''
I have over 4 1/2 Gigs of designs, and I still think I should learn to digitize so I can have the "perfect" one! Then I would never get to sew any out!
mhhhhh your right! we all are a litle crazy about collecting!
I feel like I'm a picker. At first it started as "wow," "free," and "I don't have one like that." But I do have to admit I've gotten a little "PICKYER." I have sooooo many designs, I decided to just d/l those I really know I will make or ones someone might like. It CRAZY out there in land of designs. But a GOOD CRAZY!!!!!!!!
