I have owned the 600E since Jan. I think it is a great intro machine but it leaves me wanting a machine with more capabilities.
I will say that I had to have some repairs done in May. My machine was in the shop for well over a month. When I finally picked it up a copy of an email was stuck to my invoice. I don't think it was intended for my eyes. The comment from the tech worries me a bit and I quote: "Basically, it sounds as though they are cannibalizing machines which have been returned, for parts to repair what they can if the parts aren't available. So that doesn't bode well for support of these machines into the future." Of course, that was several months ago and maybe the situation has changed.
I think if you can afford more that you will happier. Good luck on your quest.
I think H 600E is relatively new, I just heard about it through my Husqvarna dealer, she was very kind, I saw a video I think it has to be hooked to a pc, I was hopping for a Topaz but it is too expensive I think I am going to make a piggy bank and wait some time so i could buy topaz 20 or 30.
Just rang my local Husqvarna dealer to ask about the H class 600e. She was so rude I ended up hanging up on her. That store was the reason why I brought a Brother. xx
I think that Singer belongs to the same company group that sells Husqvarna-Viking, and it sells Pfaff as well. Two years ago I have bought a Husqvarna-Viking Designer Topaz 30 and the largest hoop is 200x360mm (8"x14"). The Topaz 30 is a good machine, it has been made in Sweden (it's written on the box) e not so expensive as the Diamond or the Ruby. The initial problems I had were due to my inexperience.
Sometimes reviews aren't that great. I've seen where someone had a problem (sometimes user error) and then had nothing good to say about the machine. As long as you've got a good dealer, I'd say that if that's the one you want - go for it. Everyone has their own opinion of which one is best (because each of us loves what we have - some of us have never even tried other machines).
I have 5 hoops for my machine. The smallest is 2X2 and the largest is 7.9 X 11.
I had a bigger hooped machine, I went for same format or all your designs need changing. I now have both machines, I find if you can use small hoop saves on stabalizer, and some times i have both going at same time.
Thank you H class 600E is in the internet, I think it Futura, they look alike..... What company is manufacturing them?
I have 3 Vikings and I have never heard of a Husqvarna H Class 600E. My Diamond does a 6x10 and I also have a Designer SE and a Designer I so you can see I have gone up each time a new one comes out. The newest is a Diamond Deluxe but I haven't gotten it yet. I love my Vikings and would recommend them to anyone.
I have a Brother 4000d and i love using the 6x10 hoop

I have neither, but when I was shopping for my emb machine, I did not find any good reviews for the Singer machines. My mom has a Singer dud too. Therefore, that got crossed off my list in a big fat hurry. Look at the Brother Duetta machines. They are fairly reasonable, and use the PES format, which is the most available. Good luck with your search. I hope you find that perfect machine that meets all of your wants and needs!!!!
I have 2 Vikings, but not that one. Be sure you have a good dealer & they will give you some free lessons on the machine. Most Vikings aren't too hard to use & I've been satisfied with them all. However, they are no longer made in Sweden. :-( Be sure & have it totally serviced before the year warrenty runs out in case there's any problems. Good luck!
I know, the price is very good but I have read some not very good reviews, and that has stopped me from buying one, I read there are problems with the threader, and the machine sends error massages, I read that in different sites.
wow. I just looked at the Futura XL400. That is an amazing price. I wish I saw it 6 weeks ago, I would have got one cause that's what I paid for my second hand 8 year old Brother 3100d. xx
