Grrr I keep making mistakes grr. First I forgot to rotate a design on a towel, and started stitching it sideways, then I broke two needles just by reaching in and clipping. What's the matter with me???

You just need to slow down - you're trying tooooo hard to get everything done! It'll actually get done quicker if you slow down as then you won't be making mistakes that take up a lot of time! good luck!

You Cuties are the BEST. You made me feel a whole lot better, and helped me realize I'm a victim of myself and dealing with the season. I am NOT going to let the season overwhelm me this year. I am just going to do some little things, and not get myself in a tizzy so much I can't enjoy the real reason for the season - the birth of our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ! Thanks for all the cyber hugs, and helping me slow down. I almost ran into the garage door too.
hugs to all of you, Jan

You really do need that rest I mentioned in the PM!

Hope you have rested and given your machines a rest as well. When things don't seem to be working for me, I make a cup of tea, take a walk in the garden and then get back to it. If it is at night I will also take a break, do my emails check "cuties" out on the computer,or even clear my working area and then carry on with the stitching.

Hugs Yvonne

Yes, I am. I actually slept for 10 hours last night too. That's a rarity! All the hugs and understanding helped more than the sleep, I think :-)

I think we all have bad days Jan. I find if one thing goes wrong with embroidery, then something else will go wrong. I think it is more state of mind. Hope things will go better for you. Sarah.

In the State in which I live there have been no less than 6 fatalities in workplaces in the past 11 days. They're saying everyone's rushing things and not thinking though safety aspects of their jobs like they normally do. Yes, we do all need to slow down and think.

Yup, that clipping while the machine is running is a real time saver!! I've done that myself....and the sideways design thing too!

Yes TOO MUCH to do and in too much of a hurry! Speaking from experience anyway!
Hope you've had a well deserved break and that ALL is going more smoothly now! Don't forget it is 'the silly season.' Have a good day!

It's just the time of the year when we have so much going on. We're thinking of our next project before the current one is even finished. Take a deep breath and slow down just a bit. You'll get it all done.

I promised myself I wouldn't do that this year - and this was just one little thing to get done, but I WAS in a hurry!

Maybe you should take a break. I always find it difficult to work in clutter. So maybe you could tidy up instead. Hope your day gets better.

Thanks, Alice. That's why I took a break to come cry to my sewing sisters. I'm eating cauliflower and cheese. Then I'm going to the post office, and then I'm going to attack my sewing room. I've had too many projects and not enough de-cluttering. Whew! Time to regroup! My stabilizers are all over the place and my cutting table has more than cats on it! I don't think I have more than one square foot that is open!

I hear ya, Jan.......I have a 130 hat order and I hate doing hats to boot....one of the types has that hard mesh behind the embroidery area and I broke 5 needles (one was a titanium) on one hat before I figured out the design had to be reworked for that type of hat. Grrr! Vicki

I hate it when I break needles - it's just like throwing money away. And then when I do it by just being stupid, that really makes me upset with myself. Grrr. I do need to slow down. Do you think titanium are any better? Certainly not when I do dumb stuff like reach in with the scissors!

fannyfurkin by fannyfurkin 01 Dec 2011

I broke a stack of needles on those stupid flat brim baseball caps.

your not in the present. To many things on your mind instead of just the one thing your doing. This is my problem when things go wrong LOL

You are so right, and my sewing room is too cluttered. It's as cluttered as my mind is. I need to de-clutter! And slow down! Thanks

"If a cluttered desk is the sign of a cluttered mind, what is the significance of a clean (empty) desk?"

This is one of my favorite qoutes ;o)

katmug by katmug 01 Dec 2011

Oh Ansalu That is just THE BEST saying! LOVE IT!!! :) (Obviously my mind is cluttered!)

hightechgrammy by hightechgrammy 01 Dec 2011

That is quite a thought! I have always wondered about very, very neat people. Are they ever creative? I am one of the most clutterry people I know, but also one of the most creative..... hmmm

greysewist by greysewist 01 Dec 2011

There's another sign (which I can relate to!) -'Dull Women have Immaculate Houses' -Yes, mine's extremely messy, LOL.

muflotex by muflotex 02 Dec 2011

coooool ones, may I borrow...

louisecockeran by louisecockeran 02 Dec 2011

I thought its was just me that are so messy in my sewing room, but I rather be creative than very neat LOL
