Jerri, your pine cone ornaments are beautiful! I have the handout directions that I picked up at Jo Ann's a long time ago but I have never gotten around to making any. Now, after seeing yours, I'll definitely have to try making some! Hugs and *'s, D
Hi Jerrib, yes I have made one of these too. Think yours is better than mine.
Thank you, I am sure yours were beautiful too. I have 36 total and each one is different.
Yes, I made some and still use them. Your's are much nicer than mine, though!
They are so pretty and unique aren't they. I really enjoyed making them. Did some for the Grandkids in other holiday ribbons and they still have them all.
These look great. I did make a heap of them years ago for my neices school fete & haven't done any since. Unfortunately I didn't get any photos. I like the look with the two different ribbons.
They are fun to make aren't they. I did each one different. Some had 3 different ribbons. I love pinks, burgundays so alot of mine were done in those colours. Did a whole tree in pinks and burgandys, but didn't have a camera to take any pictures the
Thank You for all of these ideas. Have a group of Ladies coming here tomorrow. Also must go out into my paddock and pick up some real pine cones to decorate with sweets fot the Christmas table.
Do you have any photos of your real pine cones decorated with the sweets? It sounds interesting....
These are so much fun to make and you can do them while watching TV, so they pass the time.
Yours are lovely! I did not make any but my Mother made a BUNCH.
THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER GREAT IDEA! You ladies are just awesome!
The link says straight pins, but you can buy tiny pins about 1/2" long, they work great.
I am not sure these are the same as yours, Jerri - but here are some great craft links?
Wow, your good Shirlene: Thanks for your help. I knew I could count on you.
The first one is the link I added. I just had a hand made info sheet when I made mine, but this is much better.
All I did was a search and found these - glad to know the 1st was the one - and the last one - at the end of the video shows it pretty good, too - Hehehe!
I did the styrofoam type ornaments with the straight pins and beads/ribbon/sequins. Have never seen the pine cones and yours are really cute.
Thank you, finally figured out how to add the link. I feel so useless sometimes with computer stuff....lol
Jerri, they are lovely - I would love to have a link to see how they are made, too.
Thanks Shirlene:
I keep running out of space.after the /

Try and Google: Mattandsharie pinecone ornaments. Let me know if it works.
I purchased a small kit long time ago but never got to it. Your pinecones look good.
I may still have the pattern if anyone is interested in making them.
I just checked and can't find it. I am in the process of packing up to move in the new year, I did google and found lots of places that show how to make them. I will see if I can add the link.
I should have checked before I offered the pattern. This is a good one, but if you just google: how to make pinecones with styrofoam eggs and ribbon it gives you a lot of sites.

I had never seen this before. They look very pretty.
Thank you. They look so pretty on the tree, but I just hung a few on my mantle as I am not home for Christmas this year, so not putting up a tree.
