Good luck with your new job. You have experience on your side! Love and blessings Chris
P.S. You are only as old as you feel!
Good Luck, you will be fine. Enjoy your work beacuse we never stop learning.
Well good luck to you. It might take a while but you'll fit right back in like you never left.
It is easy to say dont be nervous but after a decade of not working there are always doubts....I am coming up 70 and i am still working for a man who builds and repairs computers combined with an internet cafe ( which is whee I fit in) and there is not a day goes by that i dont learn something new and i want to keep learning...you will be just fine in a week or two it will feel like you never stopped work.....soozie
Think of all the experience you can call upon, all that practice at getting out of tight corners with grace and patience, and remember, a smile uses so many less muscles than a frown so just smile and save your energy.

You'll do just fine! What's age got to do with it? It's just a number! After your first day jitters (which is normal), you'll be wondering what you had been so nervous about! Good luck!!
You will be fine. I wish you all the luck in the world. Sarah.
I'm so sorry you have to go back to work. Make sure you take care of yourself, eat well, plenty of sleep, and try not to worry to much. My sis had to go back to work at a late age and it was taxing. Prayers for you
All the best on your first day at work.I am sure you will have a great day.
Hugs Brenda
oh , sweetie, I retired from AT&T in 1997 an then worked 10 years in a Jewelry store as sales and bridal consultant and now I am trying to stitch things to sell for a few extra dollars. I wish you the best in your job. Show up early and be willing to stay late as the younger ones can not do this. Be willing to work on weekends as the younger one won't do this either.. Kay
Well, perhaps by now you would have finished your first day. Let us know how it went. I have a friend who worked as a kitchen hand in a hospital until she was 73, and wouldn't have left then but for some illness.
I'm sure you can work circles around most of these young kids who are just joining the work force. You have skills that are valuable and you will be a valuable member of the team. Relax and have fun. If the job is too bad, quit and find another one!
I am sure it will work out fine for you. It is natural to be nervous about the first day on a new job. Just go in there and show them your stuff. You will do great. Hugs, Mary
Good Luck! I know you will get right back into the swing of things. * Nancy
You will be fine, give it a couple of weeks and it will seem as though you have been there forever. Good Luck. G
Good luck I am sure you will be fine. It is normal to be nervous
Good luck. You obviously are computer literate- you use this site, can get designs and do all the downloading , transfering etc. to embroider them out so you probably know more than you give yuourseld credit for- just apply those skills and the young kids will be impressed!!
Think of all the experience you have, but just remember we are never to old to learn.
Of course you are nervous, just remember to have plenty of sleep and to eat well. Don't overdo at work, and you will be fine. Your great experience will benefit them, otherwise they wouldn't have hired you, so try to relax. ... and good luck! Hugs, Lidi
Ruthie, just go be you - you will be fine - I would say - if you got the job - you surely will do the job - as best that you can.
You are going to be in my prayers. Please let us know how it goes. You are a very brave person.
God bless
You'll do great ! You have more experience and knowledge then you think...Hugs
Let us know how you like it.
Everyone is nervous on their first day! You will do great!
You'll do great, I know. They would not have hired you if they didn't think so too! There's a learning curve with every new job and age has nothing to do with it. You can do it!!
Ruthie, don't be too anxious. No one starts a new job knowing EVERYTHING about it. You were given the job, so your employer has confidence that you can do. I know you can!
will be thinking of you and I know you will be a bit nervous but you will do good!
I will ask God to give you peace and comfort, ease and confidence as you begin a new career! Life is exciting and just think of all the people you will bless with your presence! God bless and keep you!! By the way, butterflies are also a sign of excitement-not nerves!
Congratulations. You can do it. just remember someone thinks you can they hired you.Stella
You will do great. Just take your time. Just rememver nothing's impossible. Hugs DeVon
Best of luck to you - I know that it is probably hard. I am still working, but my company has been very good to me, and know that I will be able to work as long as I can get the job done. My DH retired early, so at least my paycheck keeps me independent to a point. LOL
You will go well , Iam 63 years old and still work I am lucky the young ones I work with are so thoughful of my age , they love to ask "life questions ",and it ass given them a new out look on older people.
All the best for your first day at work and I know that you can do it Hugs Marie
