Is Machine embroidery contagious?

My mother came to visit for Thanksgiving and after we did a few projects with my machine (a brother HE240, simple 4x4 hoop machine), she went to Walmart and bought pretty much the same machine. :-)

the first day I got my machine I embroidered hubby's jocks and the kitchen dish cloths. That was 12 months ago and I now have 3 machines and love every minute of it. xx

It is for sure! I love my machine but wish I had larger than a 4x4 and could get my behind motivated to do some FSL ornaments!

It's a real short trip from buying a machine to embroidering everything you can get your hands on.
I haven't embroidered my husbands underwear yet, but I feel that coming on....

Oh yes, it most definitely is VERY contagious indeed. PS my surname is Weistra and my mother-in-law was Hiemstra :)

What fun. I have caught the 'bug' for machine embroidery. Now you will never be at a loss of what to get each other as presents. I loved sewing with my mother when I was a teenager, sadly she never caught the machine embroidery bug. Her small Elna is now owned by her younger grand daughter. Happy sewing
