This is beautiful! Thanks for sharing! The press looks fantastic!
You did a wonderful job on getting the shirt sewn, embroidered, and snapped. The press looks like a helpful gadget.
I love the shirt! Best not let my husband see this picture! I have 3 western shirts I made for myself about 12 yrs. ago (long before I discovered machine embroidery). So of course they don't have any embroidery on them, but I had put on so much weight I couldn't wear them (but couldn't part with them), but you have made me realize I can add some embroidery to them thanks.
I haven't seen a snap press like this. I have a little plier type one, which works good, that I've had for years. But with your new toy it will get the job done quicker and I'm sure you won't have to grumble anymore! hehe!
Oops! Meant to also say that I think the neighbor will LOVE the shirt (if not, send it my way - my hubby would!).
It's a size six, will it fit?! I have the pliers from Dritz and what a mistake that was...
thanks!
I can say one thing...you had a tiger by the tail with that pattern!!!!! I did one (1) and only one many yrs ago and filed the pattern so far back in the plie that I have not seen it since!!!! If I had not been so young and daring back then, I most likely would have trashed the whole thing! I did not get paid for doing it but if it had been a paying job(that item) I would have had to charge a fortune! It turned out great but it was a one and only time thing! I had a full-time job and was just helping out a friend. I did learn a good lesson. I kept my job and decided to only sew for family and friends. Once in awhile, I still get talked into doing something I do not want to do but I would not even try a dhirt like this for alot of money now! I have always heard that old age brings patience and skills. I got the old part but not the patience to tackle a tiger again! I guess I did get wiser over the years.....hehe
You did a great job! Thanks for sharing. Hope the machine pays for itself! I am sure it is easier than having to manually put them on!
The shirt is actually a gift, and I only make items for my family and friends. I don't sew for payment only for fun, this shirt was to be a Birthday gift but the embroidery in the front was a very dense pattern and a real pain. So now its a Xmas gift.
I loved reading your story.
Thanks
Beautiful job and what a thoughtful husband. Sounds like a good rule to live by. Complain more, get more. hehehhe I know your neighbor will LOVE this shirt.
Oh lucy it is wonderful not like the black plaid ones my dad insisted i make .It used to make me dizzy and i could only sew for short times lol .This is wonderful ,i needed that press 50 years ago:):) Now the next one will only take a few days right lol lol hugs Carolyn
The next one is for the hubby, and I have embroidered the pockets now I have to get sewing...
Thanks
Excellent! I want one! looks more durable than the bedazzler! what all kinds of pieces can you press?
As long as you have the different dies you can press all snaps and eyelets I got mine from the Snap Store, and Wendy was very helpful you have to buy the snaps from her store not all fit this dye, I have some from Fabricland and I will have to do them by hand since it doesn't fit.
I think it finally worked not familiar with this upload button...
