I have a Babylock machine that uses floppy disks. My dealer told me there are CD players that will work in place of the floppy disk drive for my machine. Just another thought. H&*
she has a baby lock, but I don't think the dealer has told her this. Thank You
just go on e-bay and she can get a dvd-cd drive and it just goes right into your USB on your machine.I have a baby lock that uses floppy also.i got the dvd-cd on e-bay.and it works good.
You can still find them at Office max, Office Depot or most any other office supply store. The older discs, ( I found out the hard way), may become demagnetized and may lose all stored data. I would try to get new ones if you can.
Thrift stores are a good alternative too.
Good luck, Bonnie
the office max here said they will not have them anymore and we don't have a office depot, Thank You She is losing the designs on her old one after about 10 years.
You can purchase an external floppy drive at specialized computer stores. The price at Tigerdirect is fairly reasonable. She may already have a drive, I don't know. The disks can be found at Total Media for a reasonable price. If it were me, I would buy as many as I could afford while they were to be had as they are becoming so difficult to find. Just a thought.
I had a friend that downloaded her designs on CD's, then took them to Radio Shack to have them transfered to floppies. She said it wasn't very expensive.
I do! I found a whole bunch of them at Goodwill. Have her check the thrift stores! I bought 24 of them for just $2!
some of the office product stores in Aust still have them. I asked family & friends and ended up with about 200 used ones. Took a few hours to go through them and format them but well woth the time. Haven't had any problems with them. Good luck. xx
I don't think they make them anymore but occasionally some are for sale on Ebay. You might also try a Salvation Army or Goodwill store.

What sort of floppy discs? I have all sorts sitting around that we don't use any more...
Sewing machines use the 3 1/2 in diskettes, the 1.4 Mb ones (not the earlier ones with half the capacity). I hang on to the diskettes that were used for things other than embroidery designs as they are getting harder and harder to get.
