This may seem daft to most but can you help me I have Janome 11000 and need to put the updates on it I have been told to download them onto a memory stick but when I put in nothing happens. What do I do never done this before.

Go to the Janome website, download page. Find your machine. Download the file to your desktop...there should also be a PDF on how to install after you download the upgrade/update zip file. Unzip the file. There will be one file in the zip that is the installation file..I think it might be called the "taco" file. Load this on a BLANK USB stick, then follow the installation instructions to get into your machine that are on the PDF file. Make sure you use a BLANK USB stick...otherwise everything that was on the USB stick will be erased! If you have any problems, call Janome Customer Service or your dealer and have them walk you through the process.

I don't have a Janome 11000 but I download the update for my Husqvarna-Viking Topaz 30 from their website. The update is in .zip format and need to be un-zipped first, then copied on the memory stick making sure that there are no other updates in the memory stick. In their website, together with the update file, there are instructions on what to do to make my machine download the update file. I would suggest you to check Janome's website for their instructions or to contact the Janome dealer (or the person who has advised you). Hugs, Lidia
