I am busy making my first lace bowl. Has anyone advice on what the easiest way is to assemble it?

How ever you decide to stitch it up - use the same thread in the bobbin as in the top - for your zig zag or satin stitching of the sides and bottom.

So leave the WSS intack until after you have stitched up the sides and bottom - some do not - either way - I like to stitch the side together and then the bottom to the sides and up the last side to finish it off. You can also stitch the base to the sides and then up each of the sides, if you choose to do so.

What a beautiful work. I am glad it can be done by machine as I struggle to hold a needle.
Thanks for the advice.

I use a zig zag stitch on my machine if possible. If the designs are not compatible with that you can always do it by hand as a last resort. Be sure to use the same thread (bottom and top) that you used to stitch the lace. Good luck to you on your lace bowl project.
