Too funny - and I wouldn't want a real one in my house either.
love it and hubby looks brilliant lol hugs carolyn Merry christmas my friend:);0
It was the only kind I would allow in my house! We found it in Amish country, we usually visit every Summer but this year we didn't get around to it, it's a lot of walking. I cry when I see a dead deer.
The the type of deer I want hanging on my wall. Even though hubby isn't smiling, you can tell he is just a teddy bear. :-)
LOL. My hubby thinks he wants a real one on his wall but the more he sees them the more he appreicates their beauty. I think he's resigned himself to the same type of deer your hubby bagged.
Looks like the one me and my brother caught in the Great White North. LOL
Great decoration for a porch He is very good looking hubby and great hunter Maria
Thank you! He hunts well in the shops in Amish country, we love to go there!
I love the Amish country i lived in Brunswick Ohio for 35 years And we did go to Amish county every summer i do miss Ohio. i do have friends Canton ,and Union Town Maria
Oh, I like it here, even though we get all the snow. I love going to Hartville too, the flea market has grown so much over the past several years and when hubby worked I would go twice a week just to walk around for an hour or 2 and only buy either grapes or cherries to eat on the way home, lol!
He looks a bit like Santa, himself, and has done a great job on the "crafty deer"! I love the nice set of dentures on the deer! LOL Thanks for sharing the picture! Really cute!!
Angel
We bought him in Amish country, I thought he was so cute, the deer that is, hubby is even cuter. A little boy in McDonalds was overheard telling his Daddy that Santa was over there! Hubby has the Santa belly too but not the ho ho ho. He says Bah humbug a lot and makes my Mom smack him, lol!
NO wonder he is proud. Hehehe!
Yep, we found it while hunting in Amish country! A few years ago we were driving and saw deer eating in a field, then an SUV passed with a dead one on his bumper and I cried for 20 minutes! I know they have to "thin the herd" and some people really need the meat but I just think they are beautiful animals.
Oh Debra this is brilliant, thanks for posting
Girl you make my day - you keep up that smile and humor - just love the look of the deer and your DH
Thank you, we found him in Amish country and told hubby that is the only deer head I would allow in my home so we bought it, his antlers are replaceable!
What a proud hunter and alos a lucky deer (with a good dentist, wish I have those shiny white teeth ;o).
Maybe some nice christmas balls or ornaments on his horns? Or a little lametta for the "flower-power-look"?
Greetings, Bettina
LOL! We couldn't resist when we saw it, it is the only deer head I would allow near my house. I didn't think of balls on the antlers but it hangs on the porch and I didn't decorate that this year, nobody comes to see us but our sons on Christmas eve so they are the only ones to pass through there. Would be cute decorated, maybe next year I will not be in so much pain and I can get out more stuff.
Boy oh boy, I certainly could not use that deer meat for my meat pies, too many bones LOL,
Cute hubby and deer as well,
Hugs
Michelle
Thanks, he is my rock, dumb as one and sits in one place all the time, lol! No, he is really smarter than he believes and I couldn't go through this without him and he is going to be lost if I don't make it.
That's the kinds I'd rather see up on the wall. Spent a week at someones home with a deer's head above the bed. It creeped me out. lol
Same here, we were in Amish country and we saw that and I told him that is the only kind of deer head I would allow in my home! Our porch is enclosed and done sort of rustic so it hangs out there.
My blind girlfriend hand sews quilt pieces together that her brother carefully cuts and stacks and takes the tops to the Amish to quilt for her. They have well made crafts.
