One of the best inexpensive pair I have found are small manicure scissors, the kind with the long narrow points.
I have several pair. My favorite is a small pair by
Bernina. They have large holes for your fingers. I was taking an applique class at the dealers and they
brought them out for us to try. The whole class
bought them. About $20USD. Maureen/olds
I don't know where you live, so will give a good place for USA. They ship other places too, but I don't know what their shipping is like. I just received an order, and LOVE their stuff. I know what you mean about bending the tips. It really makes ya mad, doesn't it?? Anyway, enjoy shopping here. Their stuff is very nice, which makes me really wonder how others can afford to charge as much as they do!
They sell embroidery scissors, but the straight iris scissors work really well too, and are even cheaper.
Thanks for this site, decent prices and lots of stuff I'd like.I bookmarked the page. Thanks again!
If you want some in a hurry go to your local chemist (drug store? pharmacy?) and buy a good quality pair of manicure scissors. They are even finer than embroidery scissors so great for unpicking too. HNR, Meganne

Until your new ones come in - I use manicure scissors - they have pointy tips and are about $4 each. I keep them next to each machine for trimming various things and when the tips get dull I just turn them into scissors to stash around the house for clipping price tags and such.
Lots of fantastic scissors here! Suzanne

I just bought new nail trimming scissors and tied them with a ribbon to my thread bag(sits by the machine)
You can get Ginghers on line and I think Joann's carries them too. What brand is it?
I live in England and I bought mine from Barnyarns. They are shaped to fit over the hoop and I'd be lost without them.
