It looks so peaceful, would love to sit under and watch the birds
Thank you. Our place is peaceful .... 'tranquil' is how some workmen described it once.

Very beautiful in it's white blooms. Does it put off a smell?
The trees do have their own distinct perfume. It's not very strong but the birds love the blossoms. The tree in the first picture is a favourite of the wattle birds. The second tree is visited by New England Honeyeaters.
Can you see the fat trunk of the lighter green baobab tree behind the bottlebrush?

alma, that just gorgeous don't think they do that in Qld...I will look for one....hugs sally
This has been a very good year for blossoms.
The first tree was sold to us as a NSW Christmas Tree - we don't know the botanical name.
The second tree is a bottlebrush with tiny thick bottlebrush flowers.
There's a light green baobab tree behind it.

So lovely - we haven't had but a couple snow falls this year - so far - the weather man hasn't said that we should get anything in the form of snow - through the end of the week - so if we get it - it will be Christmas Eve or Christmas Day or later. Merry Christmas and thanks for sharing your lovely trees.
I'm not really yearning for any snow!!!
I felt it once and it was just cold.
Even in Australia we still think of snow at Christmas, warm red Santa suits and icicle lights.

Oh its lovely. I don't think I've ever seen a white one only red.
Our Aussie trees are beautiful in their unique ways. While I love the red, pink or orange blossoms best these trees always tell me that Christmas is about a week away and they are very special for that.

It is a beautiful tree. I come from a tropical island, Cuba, next Florida, then Michigan( we had white Christmas too much white Christmas for my taste) we moved back to florida, I do like warm weather, I remember when we were living in Michigan people were very worry because of white Christmas, for me it really did not make a difference, i was coming from a place of green Christmas all the time LOL, by December 21 started to snow!!!! first time for me to see it... have a wonderful Christmas
Hi Mary - the reality of Christmas here will be, more probably than not, hot and sweaty food preparation, blow flies buzzing around for their Christmas fare, fear of bushfires, relentless sunshine (or depressing rain), sand and sunscreen.
We, in our Aussie larrikin way, will have a great time and enough Christmas memories to last us another year.

.... it's raining heavily today but see how dry the ground is. Things dry off quickly here and we have the scorched brown grass and red dust of our Australian Christmas greeting us most Christmas Days...
I got cut off!!! The first tree is a NSW Christmas Tree and the second tree is a Bottlebrush. There's a fat light green baobab tree behind it. Different gum trees all around....
