Wouldn't you know it, my machine won't open any designs. It has an hour glass on the screen. Contacted Janome and they were not any help.Only have three more things to do for Christmas and can't get them finished. I guess they will have to be belated New Years gifts,HEHEHE!!!, as no one is in repair until the new year. Happy Holidays All!!!!

Could it be that there are too many designs in your stick and the machine memory cannot cope? The stick that came with my machine shows that it can hold 1 GB but in effect it can hold 4GB this means that I can store more that my machine can handle and I delete all the files I don't need (usually I copy them in my computer first). I use a USB-stick for my janome. You have to stick it in the machine before you put designs on it or you get the question if you wanna format your stick and all designs on it are gone :o(
Designs with our german letter ä/ö/ü are a "no-no" same as * or / (did I mention that my janome is a real diva?). Maybe take it from electricity and use then another card/stick helps?

Had same problem once. Take all the designs off the memory card, check them on computer, one of them must be corrupt! then save them again on the card. Give it a try. Worked for me* Merry Xmas & safe new year*** Mary

Don't know if I can help. Have you tried to close machine down and reload your designs, sometimes my computer does that, if I turn off and reload it works. this will bring back to the top anyway someone else may see your problem...Hugs Sally
