OH NO!! Only in the movies???? Not in this house!

I was creaming butter and sugar in the blender, taking the lid off to scrape down the sides, and the safety chain of my bracelet got caught in the lid when I went to attach it.
I quickly got the lid back off, but now a piece of my safety chain is missing!!!!!
I guess I'll have to strain the mixture before I continue or someone will find more in their piece of cake than cherries!!!! LOL!
Merry Christmas Hugs and love to all.

Sis, was laughing so hard I almost fell out of my chair. I think you could have written the scripts for the "I Love Lucy" shows. Send me the recipe for your Cherry Cake, think my bunch would love it. Hope you have a blessed Christmas and don't eat too much.
Love n Hugs, Sis

No I don't think so Sis.
It was a Christmas Fruit cake, I can't stand cherries but I put some in because it is traditional, I always pick them out of my piece of cake. :-)))

Makes a change from finding a coin! Just make a game out of it and whgoever finds the chain cxan bee the ueen or king of the day (or do the dishes!)

Hope you found the missing piece ok, at least it was only the safetychain not the actual bracelet. New meaning for gold in the teeth. LOL hugs Helen

In the UK it is traditional to hide coins in the Christmas pudding - you could pretend that it was deliberate!

When I was growing up, my mom or my aunt would put a toothpick in to the cake once it was baked and before it was frosted. No one knew exactly where the toothpick was. So when the cake was served, the person who got the toothpick got the "award" of doing the dishes. That happened when ever we had cake. So maybe you can just start a new family tradition. :) Sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself and carry on. Either that or name the cake 24 karat gold cake (or what ever metal the bracelet consisted of. Humor!! It helps in life and eases the pain!!!! I bet you find that this is the best cake you ever make.

Not laughing just being so glad this didn't happen to me, hope you didn't have a mess to clean up and so glad you found the piece of chain instead of someone while eating your cake.

Meganne, Maybe chain instead of the old coins we used to get. If you don't find it you will have to tell everyone to chew 50 times before they swallow.

A little gold never hurt anyone! That is too funny! What else is on the menu!

LOL! At least it is gold, so it will not poison anyone, remember the old currency and our parents used to use the old silver coins in the puddings ....my mum kept them long after we went to dollar and cents. good luck straining.... Hugs Sally
