Oh........ and that's not counting the plan to form my own Christmas StitchIn Club, beginning on January 1 and which will be broken in the next three days.... :{

My plan is not to tell anyone what my plan is and then no-one will know whether I've broken it or not............:}

My New Years resolutions is to make the most out of the life my husband and I have left.... I know I am only going to be 67 tomorrow, but I think how fast the years go, and I want to do more in the coming year together... take a few trips and just enjoy each others company...
I am planning to clean out closets of professional clothing I no longer wear, sell to a collector or give to a Salvation Army/Good Will the things I have saved "in case someone wants them," and just lighten the load of too many things in my home!
I have some left over gardening bags I made and haven't sold as of yet. I am using some of them for groceries ect. right now. I get lots of compliments on my bags. Its got me thinking about other types of bags I can make besides my garden and wine bags, lol! I rarely forget to use my bags now, but it does take time to become a habit. I wish you the best of luck! And have fun decorating and/or creating your own totes!
:D
Diane
I have lots of cute tote...I save for "good". But thids year I'm going to break them out
I have made several tote bags for family this year and they love them!!
I'm planning to take a "gap year". Complete retirement and a pause from all of the voluntary stuff I am involved in. Whether it happens or not remains to be seen but I WILL LEARN TO DIGITISE!
Even when I forget to take my bags with me and end up with plastic, I collect them and when I get a bag full of bags, I take them to the second hand store as they rely on people bringing plastic bags to them or people having their own. Good way to recycle.
I am going to try to do some Christmas and other sewing for me each month. I actually made out a list of what I want to do for me. And I already started with making Moyad's napkin rings. Both holly and pointsettias.
At last make the plunge and have this knee replacement. I am dreading the time of incapacity! so have been putting it off, but am in desperate need to have it done!
Even better idea, you can hang out on Cute and gab with all of us while you convalesce!
Have a good time and make the most of our lives, My huband had cancer last year it took major opperation at start of the year did not get it all, so radiotheapy at the end of the year, this year he has been getting stronger and hopfully it has all gone, So next year Whoo hoo, We are going to HAVE A GOOD TIME.God willing.
,
Try to take a trip with him that you have always wanted to do---enjoy every minute of life together.
Thank you, we have booked for a month in Lanzarote. we just trying to see if I can Take my lap top and get internet so I can keep in touch with my Cute friends.
I have a whole list for this year. They include clearing out the house of the accumulated "stuff" that has gathered dust for more than a decade and hasn't been touched.
I also want to remodel the whole house!! I've been planning for the past decade or so, and something or another gets in my way.
And, I want to turn a quarter acre of my yard in to a park-like setting, with pathways, plants and garden benches.
And finally, I want to increase my social life, without volunteering myself to the point of extreme stress.
All of the above would be less of a problem if mobility were easier. But determination goes a long way!!!
That's a big list. It's great to have such a lot to look forward to and work on. What area do you live in, metro or country? You may find there's a community sewing or craft group to join up for likeminded company. If you're an animal person, shelters would like a bit of help with lots of things -you could limit to a small amount.
I live on the edge of nowhere. I am just getting started with the senior center sewing club, so that is a start!!!
I have been using all the bars of soap in the house in an effort to recycle too
I try to do that too. Make little bags out of thin old facewashers to put the small bits in. Need to make some more though as they're too full to use!
You can take all the soap bits, add a little water and cook it on the stove, then pour into plastic containers and make new bars of soap.
Joann, What a wonderful idea. I will have to start saving mine and find a mold to pour them into so they can cool inot new bars.
Diane
Yes but we are using these odd soaps that don't work very well...At the present we are using a bar with a snow dome in it. On New Years we are going to live it up and use a new regular bar Woo Hoo. It funny how happy that can make you after using odd things!
We have to buy all plastic bags so I have to remember to take my own. My new years resolution to get more sewing done
Thats a good one...sewing...I'll really good at download not so much a sewing them
That's a good thought with consideration for the world. Well done. Where I live (Melbourne, Aus), people seem pretty used to taking their own bags shopping these days. My wish is always that I'd do a better job of tidying up my house, and I'm sure it'll always be that way. Sad, but true!
I think that a good goal... At least you try....I play a game and when I enter a room ... I say I'm going to pick up and put awat 5 things or 10 and then slowly I widdle it down...
Good thinking, thanks. An online group suggests similar. I need to really do it!
