I got a Mega Hoop for my Aurora 440 as a gift for christmas. I don't know where I can get designs that will be compatable. I checked on Bernina Design Sutdio, but they do not show which ones are for mega hoop. I assume the designs have to be split as the hoop have 3 positions. Can someone please help :-)

The designs dont need to be split -just need to adjust the position when the machine tells you do so as you change colours the position of the hoop will need changing back and forth.

Husqvarna Viking has some very pretty designs for thier mega hoop and for their Endless hoop. I don't know what format you need but maybe these will work for you.

I have the border hoop, which is the similar hoop, for the Artista 640 and I use Border Hoop designs for the large hoop. You get it from Bernina, asking for the border hoop designs. I am sorry that I cannot be of more help, but I have find a few nice large designs from Hatched in Africa.com.za

Thanks. I have bought from Hatched before and will give them a ring some time to see if they can maybe help me. It's so frustrating for me - thank you so much for your help. I phoned our local Bernina shop today and the lady will look into my request and get back to me. Could'nt help me without going through her programes at home first.

Don't know your machine.
It may be you have to use split designs. Have you any software? If yes, can you split designs in it?

When the megahoop (150x360) for the Designer1 was introduced it came with software to upgrade the machine and 3 free designs. They were not split; after the upgrade the machine told you when to move the hoop to which of the 3 positions.

Thanks for the reply - you are a star! I am sure that the designs will have to be split. I have the software, but do not know how to split. I will maybe have to get somebody to split for me just to try it out, and then maybe somehow try to get help to direct me how to split.

It is relatively easy once you've seen in done (or read a good tutorial). As a rule you open the design either in Editor or a special splitting module, set the measurements of the hoop and of your maximum sewing field and the program can do it automatically. That may go through an area you don't want to be split. In that case you can place points to get a wavy line and the software does the rest for you.

Thanks so much. I also bought som the purple passion designs from Hatched. I had a look at them and they all seem to be normal 5x7 designs that you have to multi-hoop. I will make an appointment with the Bernina Shop in Durban when next I go there. It is 200km from me, so not so easy to just go there at any time. Which design from Hatched do you know of that can be used that is compatable with the Mega Hoop where you have to move positions of the hoop please? And also if you can recomend a good tutorial on splitting. I have never done anything else other than embroidering bought designs - so my knowlede on this is VERY limited :-). Thanks for your help anyway
