There is no age limit to asking questions and there is someone around 24/7 from around the world to answer questions and offer options so if you post a question give it some time for an answer as we are in many different time zones.

I think it is wonderful that you start so early with collecting informations about embroidery. I have to admit that first I hate crafting at school; later on I was a big knitter (there was a time in the 80's when everybody in Germany was knitting even the policticians in the parliament :o).
So I hope you will stay and get as much information as you can get...

Regular sewing machines can do just about all that the newer ones can, it just takes a little longer. Free motion embroidery, applique and quilting, etc. have been around for over 30 years. Give one of those a try while awaiting your great new machine. Best of luck and welcome aboard.
