she is done now.
One word, "spectacular"!!! even without ribbons and crystals.
This is stunning in the gold. Hopefully red crystals will be back in stock since Christmas.
Anita, thank you - I have the crystals. I rarely by things around the time they are needed.
WOW! Shirlene this one is fantastic already, even without trimmings, love it!!!!!! The person who has designed/digitized it loves what she is doing. I would say that it's a work of art. Congratulations to you too for having chosen and stitched this design. Hugs, Lidia
Lidia, thank you - yes it is a work of art and I do believe that Lindee does enjoy what she does very much.
Beautiful shade. You do such a fantastic job on these angels and FSL in general. She'll be perfect when you finish her. You certainly have patients for the time it takes to do these.
Ramona, thank you this is a gold metallic thread - with this sort of design - because it is digitized so well - you only have to change the bobbin - the rest the machine does - I do have a love of lace.
Beautiful! How long does something like this take?
Thank you - it took about 6 hours for the stitching - another couple for the molding and staging - now - it might take about a half hour or more for the embellishments.
The head and wings are 6.73 x 6.76 inches with 61,406 stitches and the skirt is 10.85 x 7.50 with 140,544 stitches
I'm sure there have been lots more dark red ribbons around here than bright red ones, when the Christmas stock was out! Maybe you could also dye a lighter one if you really wanted that colour, and were stuck. Angels really aren't that much my thing, but this one does look very fancy, with separate sections for each of the skirt parts and all! Thanks for giving us the name of the site, too. I recalled having seen the turtle faces and thongs (flip flops to you)when I went there. Lovely work as always, Shirlene.
I think I found what I want to use at Micael's - I have started with it yet - but we will see. You are welcome - I like to try to mention or leave a link for the designer - I feel it helps others - if they like the design to find it.It is a lovely heirloom lace.
WOW WOW WOW! Shirlene this is just magnigicent. Your work always astounds me. Your sewing out of them is just P E R F E C T!!! Love Chris
Oh how beautiful! I can't wait to see the finished work either. Great work, Shirlene!

I would love to have this design. Could you share the site? She is incredible. I love FSL and would love to try this one.
Lovely angel, I bought this design but haven't started it yet! I imagine it would be hard to find dark red ribbon!
I hope once you do stitch it - you will share it here in projects. I am finding it harder than I thought - but I will keep trying.
Hancock Fabric has a deep burgandy in narrow widths.... but, I can't attest to the type of ribbon it is.
I almost went there - but I think I found what I want at Michael's - we will see - if not I will go to Hancock.
cant wait for the finished project....soozie
Thanks! At a standstill - until I get the ribbons and it dries in the form I want it.

She is a pretty color, have you thought of putting brown ribbon with your red crystal. It may sound weird but I love that combination of colors with this gold color,
I am sure anything you put together will be pretty
Hugs
Michelle
Thank you Michelle - I would attempt that - but this is for a friend that wanted the dark red, so that is what she will get - when I find it. Hehehe! I do like the idea of the brown with this metallic gold, however.
