When I made my first and I have now made many, I bought a design from Artistic Designs. In these designs there is an outline for the edge where you sew it together. Whenever I make a Biscornu now I always use this outline and it makes sewing them together so much easier. You sew the corner of one piece to the center of the other.
thanks for the link, had wondered too how they were made
The link did not load last time. Hope it does now.
I am not sure I explaned myself clearly after reading my post. The free youtube downloader allows you to download youtube videos and save them to your hard drive so you can watch them anytime whether you are connected to the internet or not. Sorry for being confusing.
If you want to save the youtube video for later, click on this link and download the free youtube downloader. It gives you the option of where to save the file and I have saved many so I do not have to keep using up my monthly download allowance to review videos or listen to songs. You can download audio only if you want just a song and save it to your music files. It works great and is recommended by CNET. Hope it works for you!
Wow, so that's how it's done! The video was fantastic! Wish I could save it for future review...anyone know how since our "Mark" feature doesn't work anymore on Cute...
If you are talking about saving the YouTube video - you just have to go up to your BOOKMARKS heading and bookmark it. Love and blessings Chris

But as you said our tick "Mark" feature has gone - I'm still highlighting mine so as to when that feature returns I'll have posts that I can look at. Love Chris
I am so glad I asked this question. Looks like many where wondering the same thing. Who knew YouTube could show how easy it is.
Great question and thanks cause now I bookmarked the video. My problem is what to stuff it with, regular stuffing isn't that great for needles but I don't know if emptying an old pin cushion filling would be good for regular material. Decisions decisions.

I was told contractors sand sold here at Tractor Supply Co. I haven't filled mine yet but as soon as I do I'll post the results. This info was supplied by a lady that makes pin cushions and sells at our local quilt shop.
The embroidered or cross-stitched pieces must be exactly the same and must be square. They are best sewn together by hand. Have the right side facing up, and find the middle of one side. Put the corner of the other on this point and sew it together using a ladder stitch or over and over [like a whip stitch]. Turn as you go and leave a hole to stuff, then finish.
Thank you. I have wanted to know how to make these.Good visual instructions.
Here's a link for a video on YouTube (need to click on Dica da Tia Lili: "Biscornu" which shows how to sew it together.

I wished I could have understood her - but that was interesting and I did learn alot from watching it. Christie, thanks.
Thank you for the link to this video, I finally understood how to do it! Thank you again, hugs, Lidia
Thanks so much for the link, I bookmarked it so I can go back when I want to try one since our check marks aren't working yet and man do I miss that feature! I hope when they do work my old checks are still there!!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you. That made perfect sense. I would never have gotten it without see that video. What a life saver. And now my bicornu will be beautiful.
lol i am glad i am not alone my first one was square to :):)hugs carolyn
Mine was a mess, not square don't know what you would call it. I gave up. Biscornu making was not for me.
My first one was square also. I just automatically matched up the points and when done realized that wasn't correct. however, it still made a nice pin cushion.
You have to sew the point of one square to the middle of the next, and so on, that gives it the shape. Try to pin two squares together in that way and it will be clear to you.
I am still working on Christmas gifts and this has had me puzzled. I'm to send out package soon and just wanted it to be as cute as the picture.
