what a beautiful job you did! Counted cross stitch drives me crazy--I keep losing count and going back to start over. What an heirloom
Thank you. I have 3 children wanting it when I go. Will have to let them fight over it!
Hugs, Bonnie
What a gorgeous piece! You should be so proud. Now I'm going to have to START the Guardian Angel picture I bought all the thread for years ago.
Beautiful, I have one from amsterdam harbour from Eva Rosenstand and took 20 years in all, lol, but that was because it was such small work that I threw it in the cupboard after I had done the sky.
Was not until our son asked about it, that I decided to carry on as he obviously liked it and I felt that like this one it will become a family heirloom what is nice. I now love to look at it myself and pleased that I did finish it.You will also now have such satisfaction from looking at such a beautful picture.
thank you! I know your family will have this as your act of love!
Hugs, Bonnie
Wow, I love the depth of the finished work, it looks like you could walk right into it.
Fantastic work. Hugs Pam.
Amazing! You did a great job, looks like a big piece..what a treasure this will be for your children.
Thank you, I really liked doing it, mostly. When it came to 17 different shades of green in the trees, it got a little dicey!!
Hugs, Bonnie
Beautiful. I would not have the patience for that. However, I loved the appearance of counted cross stitch. That is quit an accomplishment.
This is beautiful! I love to do counted cross stitch.
This looks lovely, great work. I used to do X-stitch by hand but haven't since I got into machine embroidery. Still have some that I didn't get around to starting....
Thank you. I too have the ability to do cross stitch on my machine, but when I was able to do it, I preferred to do it by hand!
Hugs, Bonnie
My goodness that is awesome! Having done some x stitch, I know the work put into this!!! Wow! Job well done!
It is beautiful and something I wouldn't even attempt. I have never seen anything this outstanding! *4U
Bonnie - that is amazing. I used to do so much x stitch but machine embroidery has taken over. Maybe I will get round to doing some again. Well done, worth the effort. Hugs Sarah.
Thank you Sarah! My hands and eyes have forgotten how to work together to create anything like this. Like you, embroidery has taken its place!
Hugs, Bonnie
Absolutely beautiful! How's your eye site now? I really have to hand it to you.
Thank you for your kind words! I have aged just a bit since 1988, and so have my eyes! My hands have been taken over by arthritis, so I guess this one will have to do!
Hugs, Bonnie
Wow! Love all the detail! I'm know you must be so proud.

Brenda
Only 3 years??? Really beautiful!
Yes, It took that long to find time to do a little bit, here and there!
Hugs, Bonnie
This piece is an heirloom! It should be a piece to hand down to many generations. Please make sure you put your name and the date on it! You picked a perfect pattern and did a wonderful job! Thanks for sharing this with all of us! Linda
Linda, thank you for your kind words! I have my name on the front in a little square, and it is also signed on the back.
Hugs, Bonnie
did you answer sewdeb, when she asked who had extra time?LOL. This is beautiful. I hope this is for you.
Yes, I often times had to make time for it!
Thank you for your kind words!
Hugs, Bonnie
Very nice with lots of farm details. Noticed the quilts hanging on the line. Can almost visualize my grandmother with a great big carpet/rug beater getting the dust off of them. lol
Thank you, the quilts were one of its qualities that helped with my decision to proceed with the project.
Hugs, Bonnie
Bonnie, this is wonderful work - I have an aunt that would treasure a piece like this. You did an excellent job with this. I love all the detail of the quilts, the garden and the hens and roosters along with the hillside. LOVELY.
Wow,what a lot of work you put into this. It is beautiful.
Jo

WOW!!!!!!! You have done a wonderful job!!!!! Congratulations!!! Hugs, Lidia
Perfect! What an amazing lot of work and beautiful! I wonder whether the picture will get a place of honour in your living room? One of my best girl-friends is Danish and she started working to embroider one of the very fine Danish hand embroidery pictures (all stitches counted by herself) when we were in our 30ties. Now we are around 60 (!) and Ingrid still is not ready with this work. So 3 years of working time is fantastic quick. Congratulations - Maria
Maria, thank you! I did this in my late 20's. I no longer have the time or patience. I had put it down for a month or two, ( more than once). Now , arthritis prohibits me from taking on such a project!
Hugs, Bonnie
