Thanks to you also Shirlene! I assume that it got that name because it is addictive! I spent several days during Christmas season looking for it and finally just gave it up. Of course we had so many sweets that I forgot about it for a couple of weeks. NOW...I am ready for it again. I do hope it is as good as it sounds!!!!! I will let everyone know later this week-end! My whole family happens to to choc-a-holics! I have no doubt that the next time I open one of my home-made cook books that it will jump out at me but it sure was hiding all during Christmas! Thank goodness I already have everything I need to make it! Hugs, Linda By the way, I do not think we had anything chocolate during Christmas. However, we did have some wonderful Pumpkin rolls with cream cheese. I have never liked pumpkin but These were wonderful. I do not even know who made them but we do have a very large family! We had pumpkin rolls and pumpkin cake and they both taste about the same. I have Libby's original pumpkin roll recipes from their website and it will not be long before I try my hand at that also!
I did have plenty of pumpkin rolls and even a pumpkin cream cheese cake and they were wonderful. I already have Libby's recipe from their website so that will be next inline for me to try after the Christmas Crack!
sent you a pm with the recipe and directions.
I'm happy to send it--do you need the directions too? (I always write too much extra stuff, but it helps my daughters learn what to expect) I can email it if you like. My email is jennifer.parker@csdar.org I also have a recipe for homemade caramels, and homemade English toffee. I can only make them at Christmas, because I'll get so fat I can't get through the door if I make them more often.
Thank you wonderful ladies. I know it is going to be a firm favourite in my house and with the family. ******
I have it somewhere I'll look
Thank you soooooomuch! I think it was called Christmas Crack because it was so addictive...as the story went. Of course, I am addicted to most chocolate! Hugs, Linda
