Thanks for the tip another one is to place crochet cotton on your fabric and zig zag over it then when to want to ruffle just pull the crochet cotton no breakages as the cotton is strong.hugs carol
yes... Thanks Bev for the reminder. ;) Sometimes forget technique's learned years ago if you don't use them all the time.
thank you, it looks quite easy. I put it in my favorites so will not lose it. Just Highlight the link below, copy and paste and you will be there. Betty
Thanks again, I tried it this afternoon and it made a beautiful, even ruffle.
thank you--I had never heard of that--can't wait to try it!
This is how I do mines all the time. I have a preset stitch on my machine. Just one touch and I am set ;D *2U
This sounds too easy to be true!!Will give it a try, just have to remember to set my settings back!!
Thank you for this useful information. I have a Bernina ruffler and enjoy using it, but this sounds great.***

I may have finally found it but I do not know how to make a link but here is the site.
thank you for posting the link, now the original one - please just type it in here, we can get to it from that post. Betty
Could you post a link please, I've been through five of these video's and have not seeen this method yet. Thank you.
Can't find the link I saw yesterday, the woman was making pillowcases. Try it,you don't need a video. Put machine tension at it's highest and stitch length at it's longest.
Thanks Bev for this. Anything that makes life easier has to be good. Sarah.
That sounds even easier than Nancy's pull bobbin thread up through and match with top thread the length of ruffle, zig, zag and pull to length, which replaced the zig zag over button hole thread! My things do change! Live Laugh Download Stitch! christine
Isn't you tube great? I'm glad you found a good answer. I've also heard that if you hold your finger at the back of the foot as the fabric is coming out,so the fabric bunches up some, that it will encourage ruffling. I have a ruffler and a gathering foot that came with my machine. I love the ruffler!! It makes such perfect ruffles.
Well that sure sounds cheaper than buying one of those expensive ruffler feet for the machine. Thanks.
I know I can use that.
