Thank you...I haven't made hair clip covers yet but would like to try- I'm sure they are easy... :-)
i have already download this design, but unfortunately my machine cannot read it..maybe because the size of my hoop was 4 inch x 4inch...how can i resize this file? please help me..i really love this design..and want to make hair cips for my daughters...tq friends...
I would like to thank you for this design, and let everyone know that these are a little wider than most others which makes it much easier to get the fat end over the clippie. I enjoy making these hair clippies, no more sore fingers. Betty
Since these will be my 1st set to make, my already sore fingers say 'thanks!'. :)
Thank you sooooo much. I have been wanting to do some for my granddaughter..Guess I can now. Thanks
Thank you. I've just made a couple of the hair clippies and was looking for the clip covers. I didn't even ask. LOL
2nd post, I am having so much fun making these, and put flowers, and I even did some of the smaller designs and glue them on them. I am trying to find a way to embroidery on the top and still do the pinking around the edge. Any ideas?
The pinking is just a matter of cutting out the shape after you get it all stitched. You put the design inside the outline, but float the bottom piece of felt after design but before stitching the outline.
Thank you for this set of 8. It will make it easier to do in quantities!
Hugs,
Bonnie
Thank you so much. My first grand-daughter was born 2 weeks ago and only yesterday I downloaded a sewing tutorial but discovering your ITH clip cover is the icing on the cake because that is what I was really after.
Thank you so much for your generous gift.
you must have read my mind, I was looking for some of these the other day. A Big Hug coming your way.
Thanks :)
May I say thank u so very very much....These will be used over and over.
Tammy
Thank you i love things to make using the hair clippies wish their were more little designs to embroider.
thank you
This is nice can get more for the creative mood as needed. Thank you!
Now this is great. I don't have to work on getting just the right size and I can add a letter or glue a flower on. WOW Thanks
Thank you for offering these designs. I haven't made any clippies - just have a small collection of designs... :} .... but I like the idea of the blank ones. I was wondering if I could possibly stitch a design on each cover but realised that I'd need to make an extra file with perfectly placed little designs, stitch them out and then add the backing felt and stitch out your set as is ..... and so then I decided that it would be just as pretty to glue on a little flower or make a crystal pattern on them.
I'm still toying with the making an extra file thingy.
Thank you for this fun challenge.
AlmaG.
If you make the outline like an applique outline, then embroider a design on it, then put the felt backing underneath and then sew the actual clip pattern outline together - You'll have the perfect embroidered clips!!
Thank you, nice to see a blank that will fit the larger size
hugs and flowers
Thank you it is beautiful and there is so much I can do with it if it would fit in a 4x4 hoop. Can you perhaps make just 4 clips? Would it fit in a 4x4 hoop then? Hugs Louise
Nice to have, now, since I am waiting on the 6 and 9 month olds to grow enough hair, Do I hoop wss, put felt on both sides, and after cutting out, make a slit on the back for the clip?
Jo
Hi Jo... No, you hoop either cut away or tear away... there's no reason to use expensive wss on this.
You sandwich the stabilizer between to layers of felt. Then, once its stitched out, you cut out each outline and then cut a slit in the back side to slip the top part of the hair clip into.
Thanks for the instructions! I wasn't sure how these worked myself. Then again, I have no daughters, only sons and for SOME reason, they object to hair clips along with the ribbons and ruffles.
That should be AS WELL AS the ribbons and ruffles. I so want a daughter, but haven't been so blessed as of yet.
