Oh Shirlene, I send prayers of relief your way and prayers some sort of insurance falls into place soon so you can get this taken care of. Pain is not something you need with the full plate you have.
Hugs
Diane
We will never qualify for insurance - because of Rick's condition - it isn't just the pain involved either - it is a life and death situation - when you have allergies to medication.
i cracked another tooth today - have alot of pain with it - but I fear that the oral surgery will not happen - they want so much money just to walk in the door - I have taken all my antibody and feel that the most of the infection has cleared some - I will have to live with this - one day at a time - for the time being. I am so allergic to all the medications that dentist and oral surgeons use - that I fear more what will happen - while they give anything to me - than what will happen - if i don't have the surgery. Time will tell, I suppose. Thanks for all the prayers and support. I wished I could just walk in - have the work done and walkout.
Is there a dental school anywhere near you that you could check out? They may do some work for free or minimal cost. Prayers coming your way. Nan W
any pain in your head is bad but the problems you describe are making me wince hope the antibotics kick in real fast and the infection is under control..............soozie
I've just read your latest update and my goodness, do I feel for you. I see somebody else has suggested this, but my mother always used to pop a clove in her mouth if she had tooth ache - and she was a nurse married to a dentist! My prayers are with you both. *
LOL AS A KID WE HAD NO WAY TO PAY A DENTIST SO DAD GAVE ME NEEDLE NOSE PLYIERS AND I GOT A BIG MIRROR AND KEPT AT IT TILL I PULLED THEM OUT .tHAT WAS YEARS AGO LOL WILL PRAY FOR YOU MY FRIEND:):)
Oh Shirlene....prayers are coming your way ... I hope you are feeling better soon.

You're in my thoughts and prayers, Shirlene. Hang in there sweetie, and just keep believing that it will work out somehow someway.
Oh Shirlene...my heart goes out to you. Nothing is worse then tooth pains. I hope you can find someone who can help.
Shirlene, I am praying for relief for you and for Rick too. I have had dental problems and know how horribly painful that can be. I'd rather give childbirth! At least you have a bundle of joy at the end... Hang in there. Relief is on the way.
Pray without ceasing. Hugs and love, Jan
Sorry to hear that Shirlene, I didn´t know until now, I wasn´t looking in to PERSONAL, but you will have all my prayers from me - I know this pain, I have been there and the dentist had to take the tooth, what a relief - hope you are feeling better now.

Tooth pain is NOT ANY FUN!! I hope you are feeling lots of relief now!! Good luck, my Dear! Hugs, Laura*
Shirlene, I am so glad to hear you got antibiotics for the infection. My daughter has to take antibiotics prior to any dental procedure, because she has a congenital heart defect. The doctor told me the reason was that any infection in the gums, mouth, neck area, was the most direct route to the heart and thus the risk of serious complications, or death.
Hope your dental problems get alleviated soon!
Angel
So glad to read that you got some relief. I do hope it will all settle down soon. Nothing worse than toothache - as the nerves are exposed! Love Chris
Thankyou all - I have been to the dentist - he was somewhat upset - that he really couldn't do much for me - because of my allergies to the 'caine' family - which is what all dentist use - he said that I had a really bad infection - one that needed some antibodies - he tried to get me to leave without him doing anything - I begged him to take the tooth - break it the rest of the way off and then to set me up with an oral surgeon - who might be able to help me - he called around and got one that would work with me - even though he will have to do a different approach than what he normally does with extractions - I also have 203 others that will have to be taken care of at the same time. ONce we got all that cleared up - I begged the dentist to please break the rest of the dangling tooth off - when he touched it - I really jumped - then he knew how severe it was - so we both calmed down and I closed my eyes - so I couldn't see what he was using or going to do. the technician - held my arm down - the cracked it off and I bled really bad - but - I almost felt less pain right away - it did hurt and I do know how much infection I have or had under the broken tooth now - half my neck and part of my face is swollen up - I got the antibody to use for the next 10 days - I will figure out some way to go ahead and get these teeth pulled - then one day - perhaps - I can get dental implant - down the road - but for now - I have to say - my head is spliting and I have some pain - but I do feel better and know that I can deal with most things - when it comes to this sort of thing - as long as I have all these prayers being said for me - thank you so very much - in a day or so - when I know - that my head is on straight again - I will try to answer your post better. Unconditional Love, Shirlene
Shirlene, I feel for you, will keep you in my prayers. Sure proud that you got the antibiotics that is one of the worst infections a person can have. Take care!
Our diveway has a very steep grade and even in our 4-Wheel drives have issues so a moving van on snow/ice will have to be cancelled till it melts off.
Above post got there strange. A couple days on the antibiotic should give you some relief. Bless you, this was a hard day. Prayers and hugs.
Shirlene, glad you got to dentist even if he could help too much. anitbiotics should help though and olive of cloves..
Hugs Sally
Oh Shirlene doesn't sound good at all. Hopefully the infection clears up soon. Sounds as though you may have to be totally sedated for the actual work to be done. Sending prayers for you.
Will keep you in my thoughts.... Hope all goes well for you ...
Hope all goes well with the dentist and you can get some relief and the problem fixed.
Hope you feel better soon. Sending out hugs and prayers for you. DeVon
Good to hear you are off to the dentist. Please let us know the outcome
Shirlene, I am sending prayers not only for pain relief but relief to the pocketbook as well. Keep your head and your spirits up. May angels watch over the two of you and see to it you get the things you need in your life.
Diane
UPDATE: I will be seeing a dentist in less than an hour. I don't think he will give me any price breaks - but at least I will get this situation taken care of for now. Thanks for the prayers and support - I might report back later - if I am up to it.
I can't get into the clinic - so I am going to have to work on finding a dentist that will take me in. Thanks for all your sweet suggestions and comments - I will answer them all later.
Ahh my Cutie friend sorry to hear of your pain I pray that God will take away the pain and give you an outcome to get the work done by a Dentist. Toothache is very bad. Hugs and prayers for you. Louise
oh dear, I hope the ideas posted here already will help a bit against the pain.in special the dentist students might be a good idea to look for. my hugs and prayers for you.
O sweetheart I do hope you can get some relief soon. My prayers are with you. I don't know if you have any teaching hospitals or dental schools near you but I have heard you pay a small for dental work done by students under the supervision of Dental teaching staff.
Cindy B.
I pray that you are finding relief from your pain. Check around with the various dentists. I know in our area there are some that will provide free dental care for those who do not have insurance. I saw that oil of cloves was mentioned for the pain. I have also heard that vanilla flavoring will do the same. Let us know. Hugs, Mary
I was taught to use cloves, real whole cloves. They are very numbing and we usually have them around. I
put near the toothache about 2 of them and let them
mellow and do their thing. If impatient then I crack
litely. Orally I use tylenol rapid release gels.
I see below oil of cloves. I should get some at the
health store. I also have used orajel but I see you
are allergic.
Prayers and hugs for you, dear Shirlene! Hope that you get relief fast. Hugs, Lidia
Dear Shirlene,
I'm with Anita on this one - Oil of Cloves. My Mum used to put it on my teeth when I was a young lass. Don't take too much though as it has a strong aroma and taste. I do hope the pain ceases enough before you can see a Dentist. I worked for a Dentist for 10 years and saw lots of people in pain. Love and blessings Chris
Here is a cheap natural old time remedy for tooth pain that don't contain any of the ladicain. Also brush several times with a good amount of sensitive toothpaste. I just looked up a few and they don't contain ladicain. A couple of my teeth and my ear ached awful from just having sinus problems. Most uncomfortable.
I've had this and thought I was nuts. It was a sinus infection. I have them frequently now due to stress. I use zinc,
echinacea, magnesium, vit C to boost immune system. For pain and swelling I have found out of desperation that applying Blue Emu Super strength (It has emu oil, aloe glucosamine and MSM to temple and jaw line and around the ear and over sinus areas but away from eyes
works when nothing else does.

Will check it out. Have sinus problems since the heat is on. The humidifier helps a little bit.
Sending prayers for the relief of your pain & hopefully not long to wait for the work to be done.
Toothache is a horrible thing. I hope you get it sorted out soon. I was a dental nurse for many years and have seen people go through so much pain. Your teeth are so important Shirlene, do not leave it. Thinking of you. Hugs Sarah.
Said a prayer for you, and ask for you to have a good night pain free.
Prayers going your way for relief of that horrible pain you are experiencing, hugs S*
Dear Shirlene, I am praying for you to find relief and a dentist to do gratis work for you! They are out there, I know. As a teacher, I used to call upon dentists do do free work for my students..and there was always someone who came forward. Does anyone in your church know of anyone who does dental benefactor work? Check it out! As mentioned, if a dental clinic/school is near you, that is also a good idea. GOD BLESS AND PRAYING FOR YOU NOW!! ro
ro, thank you so very much - I appreciate the prayers. I am unsure if there is anything like that around here - but I will ask around - I will be going to a dental clinic.
Dear Shirlene, I wish there was something I could do to bring you relief other than prayer or rather including prayer. I don't know of anyone who would help either other than a dental school so prayer is all we have to offer. I don't know why God lets the devil get in there and make people suffer when they did nothing to cause it or deserve it. Sending best wishes your way and hope for a brighter future.
My dear Debra, thank you for your best wishes and concerns. I am only hoping for some relief so I can get into the clinic and get some help.
Until you can find a dentist try using Orajel for the pain, sensitive toothpastes, and a product called Dentemp to fill up the hole. There is also a product to swish for sensitive teeth. Will pray for you some relief from this discomfort. Our dentist used to be our next door neighbor and my uncle and his son my second cousin were a dentists.
The Orajel and Dentemp from Wal-Mart should both be about $7.00 but also at most drug stores.
I have an allergy to the Orajel - also any of the medicine that they inject into your gums for work on your teeth - I am unsure about the Dentemp - but that might be an idea - for the other side of my mouth - the side with the broken tooth needed something like that - a couple months ago - now - one side has broken off and the other side almost broken off - so - the Dentemp wouldn't work for that and it is the side that is giving me the pain - because the tooth is craked and almost off - under the skin. Thank you Anita.
months ago - right now - I have some filling - the root and the partial broken off piece below the gum line.
I am allergic to all the ladicain family - so I have to have special medicine to even deaden the gums to work on them - alot of dentist will not do the work - because of my other trouble - below my gums I have a plate of bone or calicum growth built up - wich means surgery is very difficult, too. God never gave me anything that was easy to deal with so far in my lifetime.
will not even touch my mouth - I have a calicum or bone mass - under my gums - that causes so much trouble for them - when working on my teeth - God never gave me anyting easy to deal with. Thanks
Shirlene Look in the Yellow Pages for a Dental School. There has to be one not far from you. They are always looking for people to work on. They charge very nominal fees that you should be able to pay. If you can't find one contact your local Bishop or clergy for help. Sometimes they have names of Doctors/ Dentist that can help people. There is help out there and many medical people that volunteer at clinics and etc. You just have to ask and let them know what you're going through financially at the time. There are even state funded clinics that can sometimes help.
I am waiting for them to be open again - I was asking for prayer for relief from the pain and if possible - a means to pay for the proceedure - once I am able to get in to see the clinic dentist.
Shirlene, I just now lifted you up in prayer. I'm sorry you are in so much pain. I've had tooth aches before and they are awful. Hopefully you can get them fixed and get on with doing the things you love to do. Hugs, Judy
