Wow good to know! I think I know what you all are talking about, however on my machine I can't find disc's so to speak. just the tension at the top which seems not to have this problem. I will check out my other machines. Thanks
Tha nks for sharing this tip with us. I am sure looking forward to your new design. Good luck with stitiching it out. Will try the same method when my machine bothers me again*****.
Thanks for the advice I had the same prob before Christmas and wow this would have worked wonders! And then my machine will also have a nice minty smell of the floss lol. Hugs Louise
When I bought my first sewing machine way back in 1963 my dealer told me to use a button hole thread or dental floss (which was hard to get and very expensive at the time) and have used it ever since. When I've had a shreaded thread I always clean the machine and it works wonders.
I have heard of doing this - but never knew how it really worked for sure. I think that I might have to try that - with my next trouble. Thanks Helen.
Shirlene, It sure is worth a try before taking it in for the dealer to do. hugs Helen
No there was nothing I saw, but then it could be just a wee bit that was there. All I know is it worked for the MB4 and I am glad I did not have to take it in to the shop. I did 'floss' the tension plate as well as thread it through the complete thread line. hugs Helen
Wow i will half to try and remember that BUT did anything come out of the disks or did the floss just make them slippy??hugs carolyn
