Not an embroidery question-just curious. I was just reading postings trying to catch up what's happening with everyone-I was really surprised to see the length of some of the responses. Have we been given more space again instead of being cut short??? =O) ~linda~

I have try to beat the character counter by using word substitutes like "&"- and - "+"; for-4 ; to/too-2, and so on, if I think I am writing 2much;>)

When I do an original post I am still getting cut off, I have to watch the box to see if it has those sideways arrows in it to see if it has stopped my words. It just did it to me today...I don't get it??

There is no limit on original posts or Answer This Question, but there is still a 150 digit limit for ADD COMMENT, which is a comment made on someone's ANSWER.
Hope this clarifies the issue but it sure doesn't fix it!

And in case you doubt what I say I will try and blabber on by commenting on my own Answer just to see how many letters and spaces it will allow me to us and how many will be cut off, I will copy this comment, as I usually do, so that any missing text will be placed, by pasting it into, yet another, comment box! Now let's see how many spaces I have used up

I gave up counting at 188 but you can count the letters and spaces above for yourself.

hmmm? I counted 256 letters and spaces
Exactly 200 characters, so there you have it, it is based on characters.

I too copy my comment before I submit it so I can paste the remainder it in the next comment. Of course I forget to do that at times, usually when I made my most brilliant remarks ;)

okay.....I am glad Meganne answered this! I go on and on sometimes! I think that it because my dogs are all I have to talk to most of the time.

lflanders by lflanders 19 Jan 2012

I enjoy my 2 girls and have had dogs in my home for 45 yrs or more but they do not speak my language. I do understand most of what they try to tell me but it is not a conversation..hehehe

I did notice that one of my 'add comment' bits was cut off when I was in the Personal tab.
