My best wishes on your daily journey to health. You are such a positive and wise person that your path will be a smoother one because of your mental strength - this is so important. Good luck of the best kind.
Oh, thank you so much. I try to keep myself up to date on what is going on with my body by searching things on the internet. I am a very positive person on most things.
You continue to be in my prayers....sounds like a good idea to take the nausea pill as a precaution....Gods blessings
Yes it does but I only really need them on days I get chemo. The rest of the time I seem to be doing OK. Just gotta keep putting one foot in front of the other and moving forward.
I think of you and pray for you. I always take my nausea tablet before I go to bed, and then when I wake up again. When the nausea is really bad, they give me a suppository to insert, otherwise nothing help because the tablet keeps coming back with next wave of nausea. Hope you feel better today. God bless you and hubby.***Lovies.
Thank you. I don't get nausea every day, just now and then but usually the first or 2nd day of chem. I get 3 days in a row then skip 2 weeks. Am not feeling too bad. Hope you feel good.
How are you doing today? I hope you feel ok.
Doing OK today, hope to go out for a bit as the temps are suppose to be nice for a day or so. Pain patches are doing a very nice job so can't complain too much. Next chemo is Feb. 8th-11th.
I'm glad to hear that you are feeling ok. Not much of a break between treatments.
Hello Deb, I've never been really sick in my life yet. So I can only guess how difficult this all must be. Just be strong and know that we all are thinking about you and sending all the best. Hugs Linda
Thanks Linda, if someone told me 20 years ago I would be dealing with this I'd have thought they were crazy but I will deal with it!
We do all think we are invincible. Turns out we aren't. It really is too bad we all can't "live today like it's your last". Even after being sick, I'm sure I am wasting time.
You are an inspiration. I can not imagine having to endure chemo a 2nd time.... dealing with unimaginable pain in your bones...and are still a genuinely nice, compassionate person.
Ohhh, thank you. You don't know what you can handle till it is put upon you. I never thought I was this strong either but I just keep going and stay positive!
Debra, prayers and hugs for you are coming your way. Hope the pills will do their job and you don't feel so sick. You can count on us ,you are such a strong lady in thoughts we all support you, and pray the pain and sickness will go away.Lots of hugs
Thank you, you have no idea how much you have all helped me to get through this.
Take the nausea pill Debra, Try a little peppermint water to help freshen the mouth and ease the tummy acid too. Huge Cyber hugs, keep boxing :)*
I did take a pill last night and did fine but now I need to get some breakfast in me, I wait too long in the morning cause of the computer, it's attached to my ankle!
Oh, you poor soul. Whatever I say will not help the pain and nausea. You are in my thoughts daily. Much love Sarah.
Thanks Sarah. I get by, I do what I have to do and I am a lot stronger than most people would have thought. I amaze my family and my hubby!
Still sending lots of prayers and heart hugs your way!
Debra, DO take the nausea med to ward off that gosh awful feeling! My prayers for you are ongoing still and will continue through this battle. May the Lord provide you with strength for the positive perseverance needed to win and regain your health.
Lots of hugs coming your way!
Angel
Yes, I plan on taking it from now on the nights that I have gotten chemo just in case I am going to get sick. Right now just need a snack and a nap.
Dear Debra,
Nausea is so dreadful, when I get sick I console myself by saying that all the bad is going out so that I can feel better,
Praying for you and thinking of you always,
Courage and strenght be with you
hugs
Michelle
Thank you, I feel tired for the most part. Right now I need to find something to eat and then take a nap. Chemo is done for this week, now 2 weeks off but still getting blood work each week.
Oh my; you poor dear! I am praying now for your relief from the nausea and a fresh feeling for your tummy and entire digestive system! And I am asking the Lord to give you the stamina to keep going just like the Energizer Bunny;>) God Bless and keep you! Hugs, ro
I'm sorry about the nausea, Debra. Do what you can to avoid it and always remember that we are all around you, hugging you and praying for you. Lidia
I am doing what I can to avoid being sick. I guess I just need to take more pils.
Sorry you got sick from the chemo and I do hope this is the only time you. Take the pills.
Yep, take the pills!!
Oh, am taking them as needed. Just need the nausea pills more than I thought.
My sweetie I thought on you the hole day and how you are doing. Not good to hear about you feeling sick :o( Do you know Vomex? That saves me during the pregnancy (I took the juice-version for the kids :o) cause nothing stayed in my stomach not even water.
Maybe some acupuncture-needles will help?
Feel yourself enwraped with all the energy and love from us all here...
Hugs to you my dear
Bettina
Have not heard of Vomex, I am getting plenty of food to keep up my strength though. Just have a little bit of pain. Doing pretty good for now though.
You have all my sympathy, stay strong.
Hugs, SigrĂșn
OH my dear Debra, I was so hoping that you would not have any nausea - but if there is a way to do this - that will work - I hope you figure it out - I hate more than anything to be sick or feel sick and that nasty taste is the worst - I have been having a metal taste in my mouth from these antibodies and that is sickening to me - I can't even imagine what you are going through - I will be praying for you and sending you cyber hugs - hoping that it helps - I am glad that you have support from around the world - we love you lady!
Oh yes, the metal taste is bad, have had it before but not this time. Can't even diet with this, drat!
Debra, I'm sorry you are so sick. It is worth a try to take the pills before hand. I'm still praying for you and your hubby. Lots of hugs, Judy
I took a pill a bit ago and then napped, going to take another before I go to bed in hopes of not getting up sick tonight.
I am sending you hugs, and prayers. I do hope it gets easier for you with less nausea. Maybe it would help to take your pills as soon as your treatment is done or maybe even before??? I am not sure about that one. We are all praying for you. Hugs, Mary
Dear Debbie, so sorry to read that you are getting nauseous. No fun in that, I hope you can find a solution to this. Prayers and thoughts being sent your way. Love Chris
Thanks, I am figuring I will be fine soon. Just feeling really tired. Naps aren't helping much.
Debra, hang in there we are all here for you! Love and huge hugs. Sally
So sorry for what you're going through, and I'll continue praying for you.
Love and hugs,
Jacqueline
Thanks, I plan on being fine! Looking into getting a port put in. We'll see.
Yes take your nausea pills, it is no fun to sit up with that after chemo effect,. What are you to take? I took zofran and it sure helped. Do you have to give your self shots to boost your blood? Still praying God is still hearing all of us, KEEP THE FAITH, even when it gets hard!
It would be easier if the people around me could ease up, I keep turning the volume down on the TV and he keeps turning it up, I can't think straight. Ondansetron and Prochlorperazine for nausea.
Deb when my hubby was on chemo he found chrystalized ginger(gotten at health flood store)helped with that awful nausea. He would nibble a bit from time to time. It's kinda like candy. Personally I liked the taste./Lillian
I have heard that black licorice is good too, don't care for ginger. I'll figure out something.
Debra take the pills, you have enough going on without being very sick as well. Have a cyber hug and be a good girl. Take care
Thanks for the cyber hug, I'll be doing what I need to do. All will be fine.
I'll tell what. If you take your anti-nausea every night, I will take my pain pills. Maybe I will sleep better too. A BIG HUG to you and in addition to prayers, I am sending you as much strength as will fit in the hug. Keep on telling us how you are doing.
Most of the time I don't even need it, can't see taking something I don't need. I'll keep you all posted.
I would probably load up on the nausea pills before I even went for the treatment. My father would have called that false hope but I'd thing of it as being better prepared. Have you noticed any improvement in discomfort from your first round? Your in my thoughts and prayers each and every day. Hugs
Thank you, I just need to take it in the evening instead of waiting so long. Didn't need it before so thought I wouldn't this time.
Dearest Debra: I can't imagine what you are going through. You are so brave and living life the way we all should. I am holding you in my heart and praying for you.
Warm Hugs
Thanks Jerri, I am doing my best, staying positive and keeping my sense of humor. Hoping to have a port put in soon cause my veins are getting so small that they have trouble getting one now. I wish I could give out hugs but only flowers for all of you wonderful people.
I understand how it is difficult for you, you have to be strong. take your nausea pills, it can help.
Hugs
Yeah, I need to take them before I get nauseated. Most times I don't get sick, maybe 3 times after the last session.
Hand in there, my friend, my prayers still go out to you, hugs S*
Thanks, prayers are all I have and I the people I talk to at chemo are amazed when I tell them I have prayer groups in Australia, S. Africa, Germany, Iceland and more! I feel an out pouring of love from everywhere!
I hope you are feeling better. I think you must take
your nausea pills. My friend had the same. But always remenber Lord Jesus is alway with you
Blessings
Hugs Jenny
Thanks, by the time I figure out I need a nausea pill it is too late and it comes back up. I should just take one the first couple of evenings after chemo.
