Careful Cuties, On Monday Morning my laptop died on me when I was trying to do a clean up on it. Every thing was dead gone lost, only thing my husband could do was a Full Destructive recovery. In other words I would have nothing left in my lap top.
VERY LUCKY my husband said I should back up on external hard drive.SO PLEASE take note all you cuties who have not got an external back up
You are at risk of loosing every thing on your computer.
I know most do have this, but for the few that do not. Hope this helps.

Glad you backed up your files. My son told me some time ago to get one and do so and I did. I invested in one that attaches to my computer and d/l every few hours. I also managed to get another one recently on sale and then I got half off that and I put only my emb. files on it. But as others have said before it's a good thing to have them saved on 2 or 3 diff. kinds of back up. I plan on getting some more mem. sticks and putting just the emb. files on them.

Yes I Think i will get a mem stick just for embroidery. i have got a dvd with them on but they dont last forever.
38558Not really necessary to backup on external Harddisk. Nowadays USB-stick have large capacity.

Hmmm, I have some but have so many many things on my lap top not only my pes files but I like taking photos, big ones as well, loads and loads.. may be I could put just put my Pes files on a stick as a even better back up. that is a good idea. isnt Cuties so full of good ideas. Hope this helps any one, as one Cutie just said, you can get a mem stick too just for your files they are very big now days, and you can get lotts of stuff on them. Hugs Pam.

I better do as you suggest, because I have not yet been able to afford an external drive, but will have to get one. Hope there are some good designs and info saved on usb sticks and disks. Thanks for your concern, I lost nothing because my huband told me how to back up.
I am just trying to tell cuties who have not got a back up, how one day you could loose every thing. Mem sticks can hold a lot as again a cutie has said ( isnt this a fantastic site).All i know if it was not for my husband I would have lost every thing. Huds Pam.
